M22 order Cancelled!!

Sorry to hear that, my build date is also the 17th June so it's not looking good if your dealer is correct. If the price is protected and I have to wait a few months, then I will wait because I really don't fancy anything else. Can't believe that we are getting cancelled within 4 weeks of the build date, not good:(.

It's great to see everyone's update even if they are not all positive, it gives us an idea on what is going on, it does appear from the majority of unslotted orders on here that JLR will honour the original price, which for me is the main thing,
The Bluefire colour was a no cost option and the red calipers came as standard for the Dynamic R Back edition, both are now costed options. I am hoping these will be honoured (Or at least the Bluefire) .

On a plus side, If the new cars are built to MY23 spec, my order will also include some extra's not on my spec - New additions would be Adaptive cruise, Auto High Bean assist, Premium cabin lighting, Animated Directional indicators, wireless charging.
.
With 3 weeks until my car is built, I am hoping to get some update this week, good or bad

Pughy269, all those new extras in your spec were ones I either dismissed because I didn't like them, or stuff I would have not used, or instantly turned off. So swings and roundabouts for us all. I will only miss the Interactive Digital Dashboard, which is a major omission for me. Personally I would gladly wait a few months to get IDD but I get it other folk are desperate for their new cars. News from the Factory on builds is non existent and dealers and us potential owners are treated like mushrooms!
The interactive display is a big omission and something I would have liked but it wasn't even an option for me in Nov.
I currently have the Auto high beam and it's something I would miss. My daily commute consists of a 50 mile mororway trip so the adaptive cruise would be very welcomed.
Hope you get your date soon🤞keep us updated.

@Pughy269 You can add adaptive cruise & queue assist via LR Retrofits for £250...😉
Hadn't heard of them before, very interesting🤔thanks for sharing.
I take it that the radars etc required are fitted generically to all cars and then switched on/off dependant on the spec.

Well, had the inevitable information today from My dealer (After chasing) that my build date of 17th June has been unslotted. No further info at this time, he's awaiting a reply from Jaguar.
Doesn't feel good after waiting so long and 3 weeks to build date.
I will keep you posted on any updates..

Not ideal but inevitable. I havent really got a problem waiting a bit longer, Just hoping now that the price doesn't change.

Sorry to hear!!, but ties in with all the rest of us and as the dealer is apparently no wiser ,I have been trying to get some clarity from jaguar factory why they have cancelled my order so close to the confirmed build date but no joy, very vague and just push back to contact dealer. Very disappointing that they take this stance, but hey we are only the customers that pay the wages. Maybe it's like Willywonka chocolate factory and without a golden ticket no one gets in or out.
Yes it definitely ties in with you guys, especially as our build dates were the same.
I try to buy British as much as I can. This would have been my first JLR purchase and it's not good to get cancelled 3 weeks away from the build date with no explanation, very poor communication.
Glad I stumbled on here to at least be somewhat prepared.
I will update as soon as I have anything back from the dealer/Jaguar(y)

I have a factory tour booked soon, so maybe glee something then, likewise will update.
Great, let's hope that we hear some good news soon👍

I have been told by the dealer today that my 400e has been cancelled too, even though it was due to be ready next week!
Dealer says that our orders will be prioritised, but no date given. I see on the site that the base price has risen by £3500
as well. All totally unacceptable.
Sorry to hear that Nigel, its a very poor show being let down so late to the build date. Lets hope that we will be prioritised and the original price honoured. 🤞

My MY22 order is being cancelled and reallocated as a MY23 order. I'm being quoted over 7% increase as you quite rightly point out. Seriously considering other options now.
The customer service so far has been awful and the dealer just doesn't care about the impact a price increase would have.

Has anybody had a MY22 order reallocated as a MY23 with no price rise?
That's quite a bit of an increase. Did you manage to get money off the RRP price on the original deal? If so, is it 7% on top of your original deal or RRP?
I got close to 7% off my original deal so if I had to go off the RRP, then I'm looking closer to 14% increase.
I have definitely read that some have had their price honoured, see first page for some examples one was from MY21 & one for MY22 to MY23
Obviously not been following the delayed F Pace thread that is now over 30 pages long! Welcome to the club. My dealer rang to give me an update on my cancelled build and basically could not confirm any new build date yet. Only positive note being, he confirmed my price deal is still valid.:D

Thanks for the clarification. I totally agree with your valid points. We are all sympathetic to the current world situation, but there's no excuse to cancel our orders on mass within weeks of their build date. They need to honour our original price and prioritise our orders at the very least. Not sure if I can stomach a 7% increase and wait a few more months.
I thought the F Pace was very well priced amongst the competition, if we do have to pay more, it's going to lose its edge imo.

I phoned Jaguar today and they basically said that I need to discuss with the dealer because that's who my contract is with. I told them that the dealer is awaiting news from Jaguar, he said that customer services has no way of seeing our orders and I need to discuss with the dealer. I told him that it's just going round in circles and the customer communication is unacceptable. Their response is a cop-out. He agreed and said he would feedback my frustration but I know its water off a ducks back.
I don't blame the dealer at all, their stuck in the middle and customer facing.

Hi All - Just joined the Forums after I was told by the dealer that my MY22 F-Pace P400e (Ordered Feb) had been unslotted from its build date of the 10th of June! Frustrating isn't the word - but as with yourselves I have managed to glean more information from here than they have provided me over the last week.

It is interesting that they only told me on Monday last week after I chased them for an update on the car that it would now have to be ordered as a MY23 but some of you found out as early as April which is either - JLR being JLR or shows how bad JLR Wolverhampton actually are.

I have been told they cannot tell me what my price protection is or what the spec of the car will be until the MY23 opens up and we will have to discuss options at that point. Not sure what others experiences are but it could be another 4-6 months based on others experiences before the car actually arrives!
Sorry to hear, but it seems we are all becoming unslotted:(. I have been regularly checking with my dealer after reading others experience and my order was still showing it's 17th June build date until recently, so I assume it's JLR rather than the dealer not notifying us.
Most of us seem to be in the exact position as you regarding price protection/spec etc. which is pretty dire considering we were pretty close to receiving our cars.

I work in in design and manufacturing and I look after the manufacturing side of the business. We make 2 million products/year (Albeit not as complex as a car) that are full of Electronic components.
It's definitely been a tough 2 years and we have had some delays, but we have kept manufacturing going. We have had to delay some customer orders, but we definitely haven't cancelled orders and not given customers rescheduled dates.

I can't see that they have stopped their production lines for any noticeable time, it would be to dramatic/costly. The Range Rover Velar is built on the same lines/same platform as the F Pace.
Have they made the decision to hold the F pace orders and build the more expensive Velars to maximise profits due to them not being able to build as many cars as they would like?

Unfortunately that is the way how Tata Motors do business. Jaguar as a Brand in my eyes now looks like amateur’s from local garage. No surprise to me that they can’t make any profit.
Where all JRL Russia orders gone - about 10,000 cars per year they sold in Russia?(plus all service parts) Deliveries stopped since war or fake news?
Now order cancelling - reordering the same car for more money - brilliant idea!
I’m so pleased that I ordered another car. This Jaguar saga is never ending story.
The Russia thing is a very good point.
Unslotting our orders, with no further comms, just doesn't add up

What have you ordered as a replacement? I truly am stumped in knowing what to do at this time. Not fussed on the competition.
It's not really a competitor but I do like the Cupra Formentor, I hired one when I was in Spain and really liked it, much cheaper than the F pace and probably more reliable:D.

Ak ok. Is your order still in place for the Jag?

  • 30.05.22. I received phone call from dealer and no mentioning that my order is cancelled. (Just informed me about model year change from MY22 to MY23 and if any news will come in he will inform me)
  • 24.04.2022. I received email that my order is price protected and as MY23, not necessarily coming in 2023.
  • 23.03.2022. my order unslotted.
I think that my order is still in place, no one asked me to pay extra money or reorder car again. I can’t even build my car online now as configurations completely different from what used to be last year. I try to communicate once a month with them, at the moment just waiting.
Thanks for that(y)

We are not the only ones, really poor !!

It doesn't make great reading does it:(

I’ve been told if I want to continue with the MY23 build it will be another £3,500. Volvo are apparently picking up the extra cost to Customers with cars on order.
That's not good news, I'm awaiting further information from my dealer, they have only told me that my car is unslotted at this time (Due to be built this Fri) and they await more info from Jaguar.
Others on here have been told that their price is being honoured so I just don't know how it's going to pan out.

Been lurking for a while and have shared many of the moments of despair. Ordered my D200 R Dynamic HSE in Sept 2021 and had 7 changes of build date and one unslotting. However, car was actually built on Friday and to spec (although I'm annoyed the dealer didn't pick up on the fact that the 360 camera dropped off standard fit at the time of order and advise to addd as an option. But to be fair, I didn't notice either).

So, hopefully on it's way to the dealer in the next day or so. This will be my 6th JLR purchase from this dealer, and it's the first one where I've had to phone up for info and chase, rather than being proactively informed. I expected better TBH....
That's great news after waiting so long Rob(y), nice to hear some positivity on here.
Were you unslotted recently (Over the last 8 weeks), did they come back to you with a new build date or were you just informed that it had been built?

Yes, I've also been quoted an increase of £3500.
I spoke with a different dealership today who did suggest that if the car had been given a build date by Jaguar but unslotted that it would get price protection based on the original order. I'm not sure how accurate that is. Waiting on a call back from the dealership I ordered through to ask the question.
That's interesting and food for thought 🤞, thanks for sharing Chris
