As above it clips in I removed mine a few months back for a rear camera install. They are tight, start at the bottom, I had to squeeze a hand under, once the first one pops the rest follow, prepare for some clips to break, particularly in the colder weather, I did mine on a nice warm sunny day. The lower section is integral to the hatch and part of the structure

 

I'd expect it to be held with trim clips, with maybe a few concealed screws. If none are visible or those that are are removed, then attempt to pry it off with a trim removal tool.
