InControl Issues

So there has been a few people mention this issue where you can't connect your profile to your InControl account. Which leads to you not being able to link your connected apps (Spotify/RingGo).

Anyway, I told the dealership about this and took the car in last week. They couldn't resolve it while I waited and told me I need to book the car in for a day/two stay.
Then...this weekend, while playing about the other the car again, I seem to have been able to connect everything, without the dealer being involved.

Did anyone else discover this too?

Been updated but still wont sign in to incontrol
I've seen that update to 2.0.8A installed back as far as 01/03/2021 and more recently on this forum a later version has been installed as said by JimBean above and in thread below-

It has also been said that the InControl Account fix can only be applied by the dealer because it involves software that is not serviced by SOTA

Albeit the fix applied appears to have caused another issue with the Sim card.

Redwez's experience seems to conflict with this, unless dealer applied the VSS update when it was there previously but the fix was not immediately apparant. The best course of action seems to be a referral to dealer.
