ICTP Upgrade for 2016 First Edition ?

Hi I have read with interest the thread here. I have a question, I have a 2017 (June reg model) I haven't updated the software but recently a short cut closed for lengthy repairs. My navigation has stopped sending me that way, as if it knows the road is blocked. I have 4G connection, would this suggest I have OTA updates? I do not have apple car play, which I would like. Any suggestions for this 66-year-old luddite?
