SVR - jerky change into 4th

Post by simonp » Fri Sep 13, 2019 8:43 am

I've had the SVR for a week and I've noticed that the gear change down into 4th is very abrupt and at times seems to jolt the car. This happens with the paddles in comfort or sport and is sometimes noticeable in automatic mode. In comparison changing down into all the other gears causes a lovely throttle up blip and followed by a smooth change. Changing up into fourth isn't a problem.

Anyone else had this? It seems like it might be a firmware problem due to the lack of throttle blip or may be the clutch is just grabbing too early with fourth.

UPDATE: the dealer did some kind of gearbox software update and reset of the adaption values. Apparently, this causes the gearbox to relearn the pressures required on each clutch. It seems to have fixed the problem and now the change down into 4th is just as smooth as the other gears.
