The latest Europe & Russia map takes up 28.8Gb on the USB stick which I think is a bit more than previously. I'm sure it was nearer 25Gb before. If you only have a 32Gb USB stick then you may not have enough usable space.

I have just found the same problem! My 32GB USB stick only has 28.8GB and the new map requires 28.9GB Grrrhh. Just ordered a 64GB stickso can update the maps.

Yes need the 64GB as 32 after formatting and putting the file on just doesn’t quite fit (about a 100 Mb or so short)

64GB works fine. I updated mine last week before my warranty expires and got all my systems updated at garage for the other stuff.

32GB was fine until about 3 months ago, then the file size increased to just above what the 32GB would take - this was despite what the Jaguar documentation said when I bought the car in March 2017. Just saying!

Surely £10 for a 64Gb usb stick isn't too high a price to pay for potentially more detailed map information ?

Q. for all those that update maps. Do you actually notice anything new? I only ask because I've never updated maps since I collected my new F-pace back in Nov 2016 3.0D with ICTP Mainly because I'm low mileage user and all fairly local to where I live plus I haven't had any real issues so haven't bothered with any of the many software updates. Am I really missing out on something by not updating maps or are the majority of people that do update heavy travellers and more likely to benefit? Thanks.

I can't say I have ever noticed a difference between maps, but then again there have been no changes to the road system around us. I keep updated because its free, easy to do, and one day we may go somewhere where there have been changes to the road system and the updated map may be useful.

KeithL Thanks and fair point. Maybe I should give it a go.

I think the speed camera database also gets updated so that can be useful 😏
