In it for the long term..

Post by KRDJAG » Fri Oct 12, 2018 9:59 pm

Right place at the right time! Test drove the F-Pace a few weeks ago and same day a PX Prestige came in with loads of extra spec in Metallic Black..Sold! Checking for prices online and there are next to no Prestiges out there. Either only a few sold or people our seriously hanging on to them.
I'm in it for the long haul. Last two cars were an Audi 80 (185,000miles) and E-Class Merc (145,000) so let's see what the F-Pace has...

The standard specification of the Prestige was not great on the MY17 cars and it doesn't makes sense to load extras onto a lower spec car. Second hand cars are valued based on the standard model spec and little or no allowance made for extras, The RSport seems to be the popular choice with the 2.0D and for the larger engine the 3.0S, the cars I see have a lot of S badges on the grille.

I suspect the Prestige is one of the least popular versions in the range and it is indeed the R Sport and S versions that are in demand. That is most probably why there are not many Prestige models around.
