Replacement grille surround?

Post by simonp820 » Mon Jul 09, 2018 2:34 pm

Hi,

Does anyone know if I can just replace the silver grille surround (shown below snapped!) or will I have to replace the whole grille?

Thanks!

....

Having swapped many a grill on a JLR car, I'm afraid it will be a one piece part....

At least it should be easy to fit

Hiya Simon

Can I ask how that happened?

My own fault - back in the snow and ice a few months back the Defender in front of me stopped and I just slid into the back of him. Must have been around 5-10mph max. Didn't even see the damage at first then found out my excess is £600 :(

Oh

That’s 2 postings recently on here where damage is caused by low mileage shunts in bad weather, looks like winter tyres on new rims later in the year... we’re quite lucky here down south we don’t get masses of snow and ice, but I think looking at those it maybe worth the investment
