Thanks all for such a useful and informative forum. I’m not particularly active, but have tried to contribute where relevant and have found the info. on here invaluable.
It was time for a change and after toying with going back to a BMW or Audi, have stuck with JLR and picked up a Velar D300 HSE ‘ex management fleet’ car.
I nearly opted for a factory build F Pace, but found the Velar in Carpathian and couldn’t resist....
The shared DNA is really obvious both physically and when on the move, it’s not as much fun at pace but perhaps a more ‘cosseting’ experience. The spec was the main thing for me. For regular 600 mile round trips supporting sick relatives, the massage seats and air suspension sounded like a good idea and sealed the deal. The F Pace was great, loved driving it, had a few niggles but nothing that would stop me recommending one, or buying another in the future!

Enjoy your Velar. It's a lovely car and we were very tempted but settled for the F-Pace in the end.
