Wow that’s I’ve just checked online and it’s £1323.00 for 3 years service on my svr I don’t think that’s to bad for mine but the diesel should be at tops £999
I need mine serviced every 12 months but isn’t the diesel every 2 years ? So you’d probably only have 1 service..

Depends on driving "style":

Depending on the type and style of driving that the vehicle is subjected to, the indicator may display a service message at a shorter distance than shown in the service interval plans. Service intervals shown in the plans are only nominal. The vehicle’s instrument panel displays actual distances to the next service.

In my case it usually ends up being 12 months or 12,000 miles approximately. Lots of stop start motoring and expect it to come around quicker...

They have changed all their servicing intervals I think. It was 2 years or 20something thousand miles but now is 1 year and much less mileage. My F-Pace S 3.0 D asked for a service after 13000 which just so happened to be at 1 year.

Yeah it’s every 12 months or 12000 miles. So 3 services.

Oil dilution is the reason. More short journeys, more dilution.

F-Pace is unaffected by the oil dilution issues. According to all their documents anyway. Discovery Sport is the one hardest hit but the XJ is also feeling a lot of pain on other forums.

Officially the 3.0d originally was 16k miles or 12months, mine has asked for services just before 10k miles close to 12 months so no real issue. The latest information I have seen Is that an intermediate oil and filter change is needed at cost to the customer if his “driving style” causes quicker oil degrading
Can anyone confirm this change in policy

The FPace does not have an oil dilution issue like a lot of the other JLR products. However, they now have a company wide policy of driving style being the main cause for the issue...not bad design which is the real issue!

They say diesels should now only be purchased if the user does lots of long motorway trips which allow the DPF to do proper regens. At the point of sale they now have to advise you based on driving and use of car. If you say it’s a town runabout they will heavily advise petrol.

If you have oil dilution issues they will do one change under warranty and a second usually under good will and then tell you it’s at your cost and you’re in your own. Loads of talk on other forums and even some car rejections because of it.

Oil dilution has been discussed at some length and is relevant to F Pace V6 diesel:
