Thanks for all the input, to be fair the dealer wasn't to bad they are offering to pay £200 toward a professional, they worked the price out based on their valeters time and earnings. That would still leave £600 to pay with the above PMG company which is a lot with one wage coming in. I have done a bit of research - the guys in Belfast do you know any of the below businesses as they are quoting very competitively? Appreciate your time!

www.thecarsalon.co.uk quoted £300
https://www.belfastairport.com › car-parking › complete-car-care-solutions quoted £350
https://www.blok51.com quoted £285
owensdetailing.co.uk quoted £350
https://www.cardetailingbelfast.co.uk quoted £320

See my post above, I paid £400 for PMG.

I haven’t used the others you mention.

Between 300 and 400 for protection is about right. I know this is not helpful but I make sure the dealer never touches a new car so it can be detailed properly.
I believe any of the above should sort the issue but make sure they know they might need to compound your bonnet first if the scratches are bad to get a full price

I am assuming thats just for exterior protection?

Is it worth getting interior protection for the leather and dash?

Seriously you can do it yourself in a good day
Orbital polisher and all the stuff shouldn’t set you back more than £200
Orbital polisher it’s impossible to damage your paint with one of these
I did mine over a 3 day period just doing a section at a time it’s total swirl and scratch free now
1. Wash and clay
2. Polish with a medium grade compound
3.polish with a fine grain compound
4.any scratches gently rub 1500 grit sandpaper
5. Polish these up again
6. Fusso coat followed by king of gloss
12 months protection
Always use 3 buckets 1 for wash 1 for rinse 1 for wheels
It’s fun to do anything your not sure on you can check out detailing world
Orange pad and microfibre pad for the polisher

I wouldn't get the interior done as this is so easy to do yourself and can't really go wrong. Some good products on line but detailing world is good.
