Smart Key and Memory Function

Post by Sportfish » Sun Jul 11, 2021 3:05 pm

I recently took delivery of a 2021 F pace with 16 way memory seats and I am looking for feedback from anyone who has set their seats/mirrors/radio stations etc for 2 drivers each with their own key. I ask this question as I initially set my car up this way but the position repeatability was all over the place even when selecting it from the drivers door. Following 7 days at the dealer they have resolved the position repeatability but told me they had to disable the smart key memory function pending a JLR software update.

The release notes for recent Pivi Pro update seem to indicate the key to profile linking is withdrawn.

Another thing that a load of other manufacturers do that JLR can't quite get the hang of.

I have just received my Fpace 2021 back after the third time of attending service Centre for the smart key and memory function issue assuming as was told my Jaguar customer centre that the new update would solve all the issues and like you’ve stated the smart key memory function has been removed. One of the selling points for me was this feature, this is my first Jaguar and I am appalled that I was not informed this feature was being withdrawn after many phone calls, not impressed!
