Is this a simple issue I can sort myself? If not any garage or has to be Jag?

Not had to deal with this issue yet myself but YouTube is always worth a quick search for how to do it.

Very easy DIY . . slide the silver ‘Jaguar’ cover off, prise apart the black plastic halves with something like a small slot-head screwdriver and replace the battery. Refer to the online Owner’s Manual if you’re in any doubt.

It's pretty straightforward. You'll need a new CR2032 battery, and then just open up the key fob to swap the battery. I used this guide:

I struggled a bit with getting the fob back together again - it took a bit more force than I thought it should.

Just had to replace both of mine - didn’t get a dash warning but the car hadn’t been run for a couple of weeks.
