System update yesterday 12th May

Post by Barthog » Wed May 13, 2020 7:58 am

Noticed yesterday update available on my weekly drive to the supermarket.
It downloaded before I completed the 3 mile trip.
Checked this morning and update showing applied on startup. S20A_20.16.5-536345
New splash screen! In theses uncertain times.
Haven’t driven so not sure if any changes or it’s just improvement.

That is a nice touch. I wonder if it will be on all cars. I have an SVR screen on power up which I wouldn't want replaced.

My SVR had also had the same software updated - it also shows the "uncertain times screen" but this might be after the SVR screen - will have to check

After the update, the system feels more responsive. Radio starts up instantly. Haven't noticed any functional changes.

Mine has now updated. I was only in the car for 10 mins or so dropping food off to my parents so didn't play with anything but I still get an SVR screen then into this new one. It is a nice touch but think I'd rather it be removed after a little while.

Hi,
Got mine updated as well, uncertain times is an additional splash screen.
There is now Reset all settings option available:)
And I think parking aid box when it pops up has additional touch buttons if I am correct or I am hallucinating :D

Thanks

Regards,
KJ

Mine’s now updating although I did check for updates 5 times before it picked it up, I thought one was coming as my SDD had an NGI update and the US forums were asking if anyone had had it. It was really small though at 26Mb

Mine was updated during annual service. The only obvious difference I can see is that the front parking sensor now is on as default rather than off.
