Good going, 4 turbos' replaced and a new engine and all within 4 weeks, not bad service!

No really the service dealer must be at fault if after having replaced the 2nd turbo he then went on and fitted 2 more, really...

Is it 240 with 2 turbos? Even so I'd look at your options for rejection!

I’m only on my third turbo, no new engine! Turbo units are sealed and the first one started to whistle and was replaced, it didn’t actually fail. The second one developed a whistling noise which again was replaced and the latest one has now done 8 months and is still good.
I challenged the dealership why there was an issue and they were not aware of any problems; the old turbos are returned to JLR for review and the dealership doesn’t do any investigations.
It is just one of many issue I have had with my FP (June 2016), all of which have been sorted out by the dealership who know me really well and give a great service.
June 2016: Polaris R-Sport AWD & black where it's needed 8-). You have to love them to own one.........

Are we talking about 2.0 ltr 180 or 240, . and 3.0 ltr ? Petrol or Deasil engine ?

I had a 2.0d 180 for 6 months and 9500 miles. I did not get the mpg and was told the turbos were working hard to get the speeds I needed. I then sold it and went for a 3.0ds

Not saying it is but it sounds a bit far reached to be that amount in 4 weeks.

New member and first post.

Trying to be polite but I would want to see some proof as by JLR standards even this is had to believe.

Ha! Yes, unlikely that any manufacturer would have the engineering and/or client service structure to be able to change 4 turbos and an engine in a week. Perhaps they should change the chassis as well for good measure Reminds me a bit of Trigger and his broom in Only Fools and Horses.....

I have this whistle noise! Did you notice any performance improvements after having a new turbo fitted? Mine is an 18 plate with only 4000 miles on the clock.
