June,
Did you a phase 4 update applied and smartphone activation or just the last part? Keen to understand the starting point and waiting time; I'm considering a "while you wait" update to 18C (from 18B) and smartphone pack...

Hi
I had latest 18c plus smartphone pack . I was on 3.005.
18c takes 4 hours , smartphone pack takes 20 minutes

Just had my update done at Grange Barnet. Was great experience.

Dropped the car off Monday, picked up Tuesday.

18C and smartphone pack installed, no quibble, no hassle. I’d highly recommend.

My car is a MY17/x761.

The sheer relief of being able to interact with an Apple UI and not the Jaguar stuff is astounding.

Jaguar should definitely stick to making cars and leave the software to others.

Mine went in on Monday for 18C and smartphone pack..... Apparently it will cure all my ills...

Not being an Apple lover, does Carplay need a sim in the phone to work?

I use(d) a 6s as an ipod, but not no sim, connected via USB. After 4.0 it stopped working, as did the USB stick, and I'm using my old ipod classic, which now works flawlessly, despite being told it is unsupported - albeit, no album art or voice control. Will Carplay work, or do you need a bluetooth connected phone with working sim?

To rub salt in the wound, a USB with 90GB music on it, that the dealer apparently tested thoroughly on mine and other cars over 2 1/2 months they had it over the summer saying it doesn't work, has worked perfectly in the 68 plate XF loaner every day since plugging it in unchanged when I left dealer Monday morning.......

I've just checked with Jaguar Stockport (part of Sytner group) and they say the update has been pulled from the dealership with no date as of yet as to when it is being sent back :-(

Installed yesterday all working fine .

I’ve seen a couple of dealerships saying it’s pulled on various forums but there is nothing on Jaguars site about a stop on the roll out.

I asked my dealer and he said there is no stop on the roll out, it may just be that your dealer has not yet updated “his in house software “ so that they are able to roll it out.

Ask him why other dealers are continuing with no issues 😀

It is a package that must be "enabled" in order to Apple Car Play or Android Auto works in ICTP.
