I have 18C which was recently installed. AA and ACP are installed. I can only get ACP to work with cable attached. Should it work over Bluetooth and automatically connect when my iPhone 6s entrees the car? Thanks in advance. I’m going back to the dealer tomorrow as my squealing brakes have started again after 2 days!!

You MUST plug your phone is fo for this to work these cars do not have wireless CarPlay over Bluetooth

For the Android Auto make sure you have Mirroring turned on is on the settings of your phone.

Thanks DP.
I took the car in today and left it with the dealer Listers. I mentioned that I had found carplay in the ICTP menus following the last update to 18C. But I was told they were not aware that it had been released officially from Jaguar yet!! This get more puzzling by the day.. Maybe when an update is undertaken, Jaguar should have an information sheet made available to the customer, advising them exactly what has changed and any new operating instructions required.

Hi all

How did you guys get the dealer to install 18D and the smartphone pack? My dealer has come back and said they can do it but the technicians have said it’s a £300 option/ charge to add it?

Thanks

18D is free , the smartphone pack that is the haggling point for cost.
Normally free if you have some complaints of things not working like reversing camera intermittent, phone connection drops, etc .just say how disappointed you are with the system and mention faults you should get a free smartphone pack.

I got 18D installed yesterday at the first service. I reported faults regarding the nav and general functionality. They phone the day before the service to ask what the issue was I was clear that they steered me down the route of various crashes in the system.

The service was done in a dsy but the update took overnight to compleate, so had no car for 2 days. When I asked if they had enabled the andriod auto they said yes the smartphone phone pack had been activated. Not sure if this is standard for the dealer or due to the extra day fopr the service.

Have not had time to have a play but it does seem to work, as do a few extra features, but not convinced 100%. Will need to spend some time with it to find out how good it is.

Don't ask about Apple Car Play but ask when they can do the ICT upgrade to fix all the niggles you have with the system. I never asked I just got it when the system was updated.
