A couple of snaps from St Marys Loch. No apologies for the mucky car :D

Beautiful place just off the A708 Selkirk to Moffat road in the stunning Scottish Borders

The A708 is a great road to drive in the F Pace

Many thanks to Arianne for the reccomendation

My pleasure. Did you try the little shack for a cuppa and some chips?

Try visiting Talla Water and Megget Reservoir. Both close by St Mary's. Abbotford House cafe / restaurant - free entrance as you only pay for the house or gardens. Philipburn Hotel, Selkirk for lunch or and evening meal. Water Wheek in Selkirk for a coffee. And a walk along The Tweed from Peebles, past Neidpath Castle, across the disused railway bridge and back on the other bank.

Have a lovely time.

Bacon roll for her and small breakfast for me washed down with rosie lee

Followed by a hike in to the surrounding hills with the dog. Drove over to Megget but the road is currently closed just past the reservoir for repairs so we couldn't make Talla.

About turn and called in to Abbotsford. Lovely view of the house from the restaurant. Lovely people in the visitors centre. The women on the desk and gift shop loved our dog and spoiled him a bit

Took a walk down to the Tweed from the house and then on the way back had a walk round the walled gardens

Called in to Melrose. Lovely place. Had a coffee there. Bought a stilton and brie topped pork pie from Millers, which is mentioned in a JK Rowling crime novel

Coldingham is lovely as is St. Abbs. Walking round the coastal path tomorrow for lunch at Ebbcars Cafe then on to the lighthouse. A few liveners at the Hemelvaart bier cafe in Ayton to round the day off.

Just returned from Edinburgh where Mrs. Chim has had a little retail therapy.

I've been amazed at the amount of F Paces in the Scottish Borders. They certainly are popular around these parts.

Ah, lovely pics. Enjoy St Abbs and the cliff top walk. You have a bright, sunny day for it. Best wishes, Arianne

No. I'm going for the brief downpour effect and luckily the weather occasionally obliges :D
