LOL. I saw street view today for the first time in months too!!

Also when I called into Dulux Trade depot to collect some paint there was a bit of activity in reception and then two guys came out to tell me it's the best car they've seen and they'd have it over a Bentley or Porsche any day.

So that's nice
I've literally had people stop and engage me in conversation about it. Slightly unnerves me !!
Not used to attention like it.

^ I'm very happy for you to quote me as an ex-cowboy if it helps. Feel free to PM me if I can help at all on this subject I know how frustrating it has been.
Did anyone from dealer recognise this as an adaptive suspension fault at any time?
Not sure they even recognise it as a fault and nobody has done anything with mine. They seem to feel that's how it should be. I raised the issue with somebody more senior from Jag but not sure how deep or serious the case has been taken.

The more people who raise a TA then the more likely it will get properly noticed. My jag guy said we've had no reports I know of for any such issue. Mind you he also didn't think the 3G was much of an issue either though did recognise it that others had TAs open for it.

I think I'm going to replace the springs anyway so may mean if it doesn't help I'll be stuck as they won't be able to work on a non standard suspension car.

I may well just have to put up with it. JLR it may be fascinating to see one day what a non wobbly Jag is as I've driven 3 and all were the same (4th was similar but we didn't find suitable road)

This may well turn out to be a 'characteristic' of the car .. in which case I bought the wrong car. As I said in a previous post if I lived in a non-urban area I'd probably never experience it.
I'm actually prepared to agree with that, once I have excluded any possible mechanical fault then fine, I'll live with it. Every car I've had as some sort of quirk, if this one is a "wobble/bounce/vagueness" fine that's fine I can cope. Just eliminate the possibility of fault (that could become dangerous) first and I'll get over it!
What I'm thinking is its not a fault but a issue with the maths and calculations that run the suspension. If perhaps we can highlight this as a potential issue in terms of it not performing as they had ideally intended then it can be updated and adjusted in the future.

If nobody knows about it from Jag nothing will happen. If after enough people complain and they see it and say thats absolutely how it should be then fine we have a car that perhaps isn't ideal and we can live with it or sell it.
I just want to determine what the status really is and should be.

So I just returned from a 2.5 hour fairly fast blast .. such an enjoyable car to munch the miles in as I've said before ... the car was feeling particularly compliant and supple, even in dynamic mode, so I ventured onto the streets that usual set off my rear end wobble. Nothing. Well ok a little bit but certainly not the uncomfortable risk of whiplash or smacking the side of your head on the window that usually occurs. So there's a pattern developing here I think. I wonder if it only happens when the car is cold? I'm going to let it cool down and take it out again over the same roads in an hour or so .... intriguing.
Im struggling to make sense of it. I've said to you a few times it does seem ok some days and with me not having many decent places to test it then its hard to really know if I'm imagining it at times. It would explain that it truly does see to be somewhat inconsistent and erratic. Let us know.
I'll email you about some tests.

I've had two PMs as well so it's a bigger list than I thought. Pretty sure this is limited to people with adaptive dynamics but would be good to know.
Looking forward to our meet up and feeling the motion your talking about as I just don't feel it in mine.
Yes I think it's a mathematical over calculation and I think it actually calculates against it's own movement at times.
Be good to see others let us know when and where your meeting up if there's room ad it's not a candlelit dinner for two :)
Might be able to make it

Yes that 4-6 bounces almost using its own inertia to wobble,

I think it's called a EQR electronic quality report ?? . If we all get them logged it may help identify the problem and for them to raise and look at it as right now I don't think it's even registering.

We have had that a few times. As you say the rear rocks side to side about 6 times in our case before it stops. Not really apparent what caused it but definite event. We have not driven the car for a few days but will keep a watch now
Yes on once instance with a load in the boot I got this at about 8mph on a turn and it wobbled so bad with the weight in back I thought it was "wagging the dog" and felt very unsafe. Never had it that bad since but can be quite violent and I'm sure a rear passenger would smack their heads if not aware.

I've reported to customer services as a complaint but I still don't think my dealer has logged it as an official report as they haven't really seen it on the brief demos
