Oh Crap, if its the same as my 1st edition alloy wheels to get the sorted correctly you have to send them away, it appears the home boys do not like the black alloy home repairs.

Sorry to say.

Oh sh#t...... Sorry to see that mate.... Mrs cat hasn't driven mine yet as she is really worried she may scratch it. That tyre looks cracked also!!
Probably cost £100 quid to put the paint right! Don't be too hard on her,
I bet she's upset to! I drooped one of my wife's expensive Audi alloys on its face once when changing a wheel , DOH !!
I know my car would get scratched at some point, and when it did!!......all down one side, and luckly I polished most of it out, I relaxed a bit more about it. Still pissed off at the time mind... But... Worse things can happen mate.

Tyre looks fine, a little dust, think you may think the print of the tyre looks like a crack.

I took alloy wheel insurance out for £149 so going to them tomorrow. She did front and rear!!! Rear only a little nick. Tyres are fine the black lines are seams.

I think I've stopped going into orbit, I'm geostationary at the moment!! I will be coming back to earth soon!

At least you got the insurance and the reason we have it is for this reason.

Give the wife a hug I am sure she feels crap for doing it and insurance is for accidents and this was an accident.

Tell her Steak for dinner tomorrow. lol

Mine are covered by SMART insurance (revive) so they must be able to do them without sending away. I'm sure I will put that to the test some time soon cos apparently men too can kerb an alloy!

That hurts and I feel for you Carl (& the wife too).

Only one thing cures the feeling - get it repaired as soon as possible and make sure it's done properly. The minute that happens the pain has gone.

There will be a good number of folk following in your footsteps, it's just a matter of time. I will be joining you and I don't even have my car yet!

One silver lining..... when it's you that does it (& you will) then SWMBO will look at you and you will beg forgiveness - she'll grant it because she got there before you

Regards

Arianne

I have the same insurance and my dealer warned me that Black first Edition Wheels can not be repaired at home successfully and to get a correct colour match they sent mine away to a specialist.

Well that will be interesting considering I don't have a spare!
Yes I had to have the space saver spare wheel fitted but it was at the dealers have other work done so I had a loan car.

Let me know if you find someone who will take on the work if you have it done at home and let me know the results, I am sure at some point I will need them.
