The other item of interest is the lowering kit by 30mm, wonder if that fits all versions of the Fpace and how the on board computer system would work with the car sitting lower with Dynamic suspension.

That's not too bad. Certainly better than stock and surely on a 3.0 might be quite a nice upgrade

I would certainly be tempted by the 3.0D exhaust, the 2.0D sounds awesome!

The remapping is also interesting I have spoken with a couple of specialists and it can be done via the OBD2 port, so no messing with the physical electronics however it does still concern me a little. :?:

The company is called Veloc and they seem to have a wide representation around UK & Europe

Here are the claimed improvements :
Jaguar - F Pace - 3.0 D - 300-BHP

Original HP: 300 Original Nm: 600
Tuned HP: 345 Tuned Nm: 675
HP Increase: 45 Nm Increase: 75
% Increase: 15% % Increase: 12%
Fuel saving achievable of 5-6%

Would be even better with an improved exhaust for sure, let us know if you go for it, my worry is with my car keep going back to the dealer for the ITCP what would be found with any engine ect remap.

I agree until the ICTP issue is finally put to bed, I wouldn't do anything.

According to the tuning people unless they specifically compared the mapping with a "stock version", it would not be noticeable.

I had my Cayenne 3.0d tuned and the difference was remarkable, I recall it improving the 0-60mph time by almost a second whilst having zero effect on its mpg.

Only negative is when I sold it back to the Porsche dealer they were on the phone within a hour as their computer instantly knew something was a miss. So regardless what the tuner tells you about it being invisible to the service department don't believe it.

Any remap will show up if the dealer looks for it through there computer system, I like the idea of some changes but if something went wrong with the engine or anything then they could walk away.

I was told even changing the wheels from a standard wheel to a third party can lead to the manufacture walking away from any recalls around the suspension ect, crazy i know but you have to double check what effect changing any part will have.

I am going to have a conversation with my dealer if and when they finally bring out an exhaust thats got a better sound to it then the standard one just to be sure they do not come out with the same response should i have a issue.

Problem is in today's world everything is controlled off a computer so anything that changes will show up somewhere, if they can change it, they can see it.

They should have checked it first before doing the deal! Unless they specifically ask you are under no obligation to say anything "caveat emptor", buyer beware! That does not however apply if you are engaged in that trade, i.e. car dealer etc.. If they asked you then they would have a case.

Out of interest what happened?

Trying to find more details on the exhaust for the 2.0d, only thing I could find is this:

The Arden Soundsystem gives your Jaguar F-Pace a powerful sound and underlines acoustically the sporty appearance of the vehicle impressively. Individually adjustable by push button.
Cost is €1535.10.

There site doesn't show a picture so I'm curious on knowing how they achieved such a great sound from a 2.0L diesel. My guess as Arden are calling it a "sound system" is it works much like the Audi SQ5 exhaust sound booster box. So what you are buying is a inline exhaust amplifier with a control switch fitted some ware in the cabin.

Would love to know more, if anyone else knows anything please.

Sounds seriously impressive in the video and agree about your SQ 5 comment. The Audi sound is great and it was something I was looking into before deciding on the all round vfm of the F Pace. Btw your spec is similar to the car I've just been informed is built! How's it going? Happy?

That exhaust is interesting alright.

Don't think it's the same as BMW / Audi fake systems because that video is showing it from the outside and not interior where the other cheats put the sound up through the speakers

I told them who did the work and they took it back to them and got it returned to factory spec.

Very interesting, i wonder when and what a 3 litre Diesel will sound like and what parts ect are swapped out to get this, as he said its a noise generated sound like the Audi rather then a exhaust changed sound, maybe more people will like this as they can have it in quieter mode when at home so they do not wake the neighbors if they have to leave home early or late.

Good find.
