I've just noticed a Reverse Traffic Detection (RTD) icon in the rear camera screen on my car.
My car doesn't have the RTD option, and IIRC the icon has not been shown before.
Can someone please put me out of my misery, check their screen and let me know if the RTD icon is shown everytime to everyone20170725_151822.jpg20170725_151835.jpg?

I posted a similar image a few months ago as that symbol appeared after v4 update..

No one, not even dealer could tell me what it meant....

So, it still appears most times in reverse, but to be honest, my parking graphics are very erratic & don't seem to be the same twice in a row...

I have no idea if I should have RTD though..... Must check, now I know what it means!

This is not a fault with hardware but would seem to be an error in the V4 software upgrade.

It is showing you that RTD is inoperative. Which, as JLR#5.2 pointed out, unless you added BSM as an option, is correct.

It doesn't work, because it isn't fitted to the car.

Why JLR felt the need to let us all know we don't have an option is mildly amusing, but after a while you get used to ignoring it

If you haven't had an ICTP update since April then you wont have seen it yet.

If you HAVE BSM then hopefully you won't see this either, because if you do, then yours is bust....

If you have ICT then you may have your own set of problems, but probably not this one.

PS. It's a warning symbol, not a command key. Pressing it only leaves fingerprints on the screen.

Sorry, but I have not had an update since collection in early March, and I have the fault displayed.

I don't recall the displayed fault on collection.

Either way, if you don't have BSM and don't have RTD then you can't actually have a fault with a piece of hardware/software that isn't there.....

It never appeared on mine before the update. Your March car may have had it factory installed earlier than it was on general release to us poor early beta testers.

Perhaps check with your dealer to see if 2.5 v4 has been loaded....
