Has anyone had a problem with the leather on the drivers seat cracking? My car 2018 has Beige leather, and I have several cracks (not tears) on the front part of the side bolster part of the seat. I have JLR extended warranty, and have emailed the dealer, but have yet to receive a response.

We haven't had it crack that bad but we had the Light Oyster leather covers on both front seats replaced under warranty because they worn.

This issue was covered when the Fpace first came out and the first edition owners had Issues with poor quality leather and had these replaced under warranty.

Hello all Has anybody seen today's Auto Express, there's a piece in the complaints section page 20 where a gent called Alex has had his F Pace back 4 times due to the leather on the drivers seat wearing, his car is 10 months old, mine is the same, (same colour even....) I've been out in mine...

That’s bad seems the crack as gone right through the leather seems sort of crusty compared to my leather hence the crack

Bad news, The dealer has stated that Jag Extended Warranty does not cover this. so I guess its a case of how much for a new swab.

That's not good news, maybe a local car upholster will be able to do this cheaper then JLR.

Remember too that leather is a natural product and will dry out over time. Keep a good cleaning and treatment regime on your seats too using quality products. It does help to keep them in the best possible condition

It seems the current 'quality' issues are across the board with the Jag's at the moment... Poor leather, thin paints, ingenium diesel engine issues (same for RR).

Are the good old days of durability now gone? It's always good practice to keep up to date with washing, waxing, conditioning and general maintenance, but now with these cars there is no free weekend anymore. I dread that majority of owners are not up to speed with this.... makes looking for a used A1 F-Pace hard work.
If only they didn't look/sound/drive/appeal so good...
