With temperatures re expected to plummet as low as -15°C in parts of the UK over the coming days, and several inches of snowfall suggested, here's some useful knowledge about how to defrost a car's windscreen quickly.

A "better way" to defrost a windscreen than using an ice scraper or a defroster, meteorologist Ken Weathers suggests a simple solution of rubbing alcohol and water from a spray bottle.

Mr Weathers says he mixes 1/3 of a cup of water with 2/3 of a cup rubbing alcohol to produce the defrosting spray. :D
