Hello and welcome to the forum, good to see another overseas member,

We look forward to seeing and reading your views from the USA on the Fpace.

Thankfully, Britain is a completely different country from when it was the 'sick man of Europe' in the 1970s. Frankly, in those days, if it had 'Made in Britain' or a Union Jack flag somewhere on the packaging, you avoided it like the plague. Instead you bought something from Japan or Germany. In fact, anywhere just so long as it wasn't the UK or China.

After 30 years of hurt something being made in Britain now stands for innovation, quality and heritage. Assuming, of course, that you can actually find something made in Britain because our economy is now so heavily skewed towards the service sector.

In a global economy the USP for expensive, developed economies needs to be innovation, quality, safety and brand reputation. For that many of us will pay a premium which is where the clear water exists between us and the emerging economies.

So thank you for choosing to buy from our little, but crowded, island. We all hope your F-pace will be all you want it to be. In fact we are all praying for that in our own cases too!

Best wishes from this side of the pond.

Arianne
