Afternoon All,
Hope you are all well.
Sorry to join the forum with an issue, however I am looking to gather intel from your experiences.
I purchased a used 2017 F-Pace 2.0d, 7 months ago from a main dealer.
Great car, all was going well, unfortunately the engine has developed a knock (62,000 miles).
Jaguar assist were excellent and arranged for the vehicle to be taken to my nearest jag dealership.
They have looked at the vehicle and suspect damaged turbo and oil starvation to the hydraulic tappets.
They want to strip the engine to confirm, however want me to cover the investigative cost (5 hours/ÂŁ960) should this not be the cause. They claim this is all standard procedure.
Has anyone experienced this before?
Thanks
