Anyone had the misfortune to have to use the jacking points?
The guy detailing mine says he has never seen anything that looks so delicate.
To the point that he has refused to jack up the car to remove the wheels.
Could just be he doesn't want to do the wheels at the agreed price as he didn't realise they were 22".
Says his fear is the jacking points are just not strong enough.
Can't believe Jaguar got this wrong, but interested in your thoughts.

The jacking polnts are fine as mine had all 4 wheels off supported by jacks and axle stands when my calipers were painted.

I too have had the wheels removed on two occasions, once to change the wheel centres and the second time to paint the brake callipers.

Sorry to say but I think your detailer is either not proficient in jacking up the vehicle, or doesn't want the hassle! Either way ask for a proportion of the estimate to be refunded if he doesn't want to do the wheels.

I have had a look under mine and I would not have an issue jacking my car up with the correct rated trolley jack, sounds like he wants to get out of doing the large wheels.
