Jaguar Campaign No. K-385

My dealer refused to carry out the campaign, as they had two cars having there pre delivery inspection and when downloading / effecting the campaign, both screens went black and they have not been able to recover them!

The service guy told me that he did not want my car to be potentially disabled until Jaguar could advise them of a solution, he commented that it was not such an issue for the cars awaiting delivery as the customers would have to wait!

I will put up with the freezing and minor bugs until they have experimented on one of their cars until they are certain of the outcome.

Bearing in mind the stick we've been giving you over the dreadful bonnet shut lines recently, I wanted to say how reassuring and helpful your offer on this thread appears to be Ryan.

I am sure many of us on the forum will feel the same way. That you have spotted this post and acted to assist.

Thanks Ryan but my car was supplied outside mainland UK, so Global are dealing with the issue.

Still on going, froze on me this morning, when it freezes apart from disabling the camera you loose your parking sensors! Sometimes even when all is well the front sensor switch does not always work, I have told my wife to engage reverse to be certain the front sensors are operative, until the system is sorted.

My dealer will not carry out the campaign, as detailed by Jaguar as it has caused them to have two disabled cars! A week has since passed and they are none the wiser, hence my demand for action.

Ooops!, I think Ryan broke! . . . either that, or he regenerated into 'Lucy' (..bit like they do with that there Dr Who? character)

. . . or maybe he got sent for reprogramming... :lol:

Dam right, this is a Jaguar screw up and they don't know how to fix it, together with the creaking from the rear suspension, the poor front shut lines and the lack of an adjustable rear N/S dipping mirror (They are all pre set), I am beginning to regret purchasing the F-Pace!

OK I have now calmed down!

Jaguar have asked me to take my car to the service department next Tuesday and they have arranged to have an online session with the infotainment specialists at the factory, to resolve the problems with the In Control Pro unit. They sound very confident that they now have a resolution, I will report back next week.

My F-Pace is now disabled, they carried out the Jaguar software update, Campaign # K385 and the system has totally crashed and now only displays a BLACK screen!!! Thus far they have no answers.

Sorry to say I'm not surprised to hear this Russell. My car (FE) is in tomorrow and Thursday for the creaking rear suspension (both sides) and the dodgy InControl Pro system. Not holding my breath! Watch this space! :cry: :oops: :cry:

Will be interesting to see what happens as this week is Jaguar 1 week factory shutdown so tech support maybe limited to say the least for the dealers if needed !!!

Is everyone having problems with the infotainment?....
The only problem I've had is the volume is slightly lower when bluetoothing Spotify off my S6
In my mind it can't be software if not everyone's having issues ;) :eek: :shock:

I have now been told by the dealer that the system is now up and running, apparently the main control module, which is located in the boot area, had to be replaced. They are now in the process of re downloading the mapping for the navigation, this I know takes several hours.

In the meantime Jaguar Customer Services advised me that:

"The outstanding issue relates to the navigation software, which has to be downloaded onto the vehicle's system. As your vehicle was sold in Gibraltar, different software is required for its use in Spain".

What a load of nonsense European Navigation software is identical regardless of the European country of sale! You can switch from Spain to UK, France, Germany etc... In any instance there is no Navigation for Gibraltar!!

I guess I will know tomorrow, fingers crossed it will resolve the issues and I shall report the outcome.
