It could be the biggest seller Jaguar is going to have, it's similar in size to the XE but everyone is moving towards crossovers and SUV's. The sector volume has tripled in five years, and all predictions say it'll expand by another 30 per cent in the next five!

These cars sell well in all the big markets: China, the US and Europe. I think it's really important for the brand and hopefully a huge success for Jaguar.

Furthermore, if the car-like and sporty F-Pace - an obvious rival to the Porsche Macan - cannibalises some sales from Land Rover fare such as the Discovery Sport, so be it. At least the customer is staying within the wider Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) family.
