I had a message on the screen with a malfunction for the ad blue dosing. Called Listers Droitwich and took it to the dealership on Tuesday afternoon (last week) . Since been told battery was low and needed a new one (£500)! A new tank for the ad blue
(£600) which didn’t solve the problem and then a new valve (£186 ish). Car is 3.5 years old, will collect tomorrow 9 days later, any one else come across this have a £1500 bill. Will be complaining, when I collect the car will ask for the parts changed!!

Sorry to hear this, IMHO I think they have treated you very unfairly. I have seen the same error reported on multiple Facebook pages & forums and is usually sorted by a software update. As for the battery I would be refusing to pay that, Halfords would fit one for under £200 I suspect.

Which is why an extended warranty is a very good idea, even straightforward repairs are expensive

They've ripped you off, £500 for a new battery is ridiculous and get them to justify the adblue tank replacement. This warning is often down to software fault, I strongly suggest that you avoid main dealers for servicing and find a reputable independent Jaguar specialist as they'll be 50% cheaper for everything!
