I too received a letter yesterday from Jaguar forewarning me of impending delays due to supply issues. Today I received an email from the dealer (yes they contacted me!) telling me that my P400e will be with them w/c 15th March and should be ready for collection a couple days afterwards following pre-delivery checks.

So it seems the delivery delays are not peculiar to the P400e variant, or perhaps it's the options selected, or perhaps I have been very lucky. Just to give you my time line - after some tweaks to the specification my order went through on the 31st December. I was given a build date of w/e 26th February and delivery to the dealer of 12th March. So in essence everything has gone to plan. I really feel sorry for you guys who have had their delivery delayed by weeks, if not months… there doesn't seem to be any logic to this.

I'm still surprised to see that non of the motor magazines have reviewed the F-Pace Hybrid. I would have thought they would be keen to get their hands on one since this a new model for Jaguar. Perhaps Jaguar have also let them down on availability ;)

I've also had the JLR "sorry for the delay" letter this week. The first (over optimistic) delivery date I had for dealer delivery for my SVR was April 1st (joke maybe....) and now it is apparently early/mid May.
However, I'm now also being treated to a VIP chauffeur-driven handover in SVO as a slight compensation :) so that could be interesting.

I have a P400e HSE on order too, and have just had a call from my broker (I lease the car through my business) to say he's been notified the car has been built and he has the chassis number but the factory have just said they aren't releasing it. No explanation given.

Anyone heard of this before?

My initial build date was also Feb 26th...........seems like it was just a bucket date to collect all sales and then get real :(

Hi all, I've been told told today that my P400e will be delivered 'early next week'. This will be my third Jag (XF 3.0S and most recently F Pace 3.0S), so I have plenty of experience of dealership issues - so we will see if all pans out as it should.
I have a lot of sympathy with others who had builds that were supposed to happen on the 26th. It appears it was pot luck wether it was built or not.

I think this happens because there is a gap between sales and aftersales, where you have bought the car but havnt taken delivery. So sales continue selling but you dont fall under aftersales until you take delivery. Not making excuses for those dealerships that are below average customer service but I just know how busy my rep has been at mine, especially as its early March.
My experience was that both sales and aftersales were absolutely laughable. I haven't had a single call or email about my car since I collected it in January 2018. Now getting generic emails form the dealer asking if I want to get a new one, but never had so much as an "is everything ok" call. Wouldn't touch Harwoods again with a bargepole.

 I think that is an over expectation Wookiee; I've bought countless new cars and have never received any form of pro-active follow up from the dealer. Insofar as Harwoods are concerned, I will say that on both occasions that I bought a Jag from them the Salesmen did actually remember me and speak to me whenever I went there, which was a first. ;)

You're probably right, but I think my expectation was borne out of the fact that I'd rejected my first car from them. I thought they might have at least checked that the second one was ok! :D

Just been notified my P400e has been delayed another week. I'm told it's a software issue and currently no fix, so one week seems optimistic!

Sorry, I don't. All I've been told is the car has been built but the factory aren't releasing it due to the software issue.

Hi all, the latest information I have been told by a source close to JLR is that there is a supply issue with the batteries or a component of!
Apparently there are a number of P400e cars that have been built being stored on site awaiting these parts to complete,.. I'm guessing the battery pack or the part can be fitted post build!

I'm told it happens quite regularly at the moment! However I cannot independently verify these claims.
What would be nice is for CS Jaguar Dan,.. or whoever to kindly tell us what the delay is for.

Previous experience,.. on this forum a few years ago... and I mean no slight on Dan,.. is that we won't get told anything from them on this particular issue l!

Regards JC.

Hi JC,

That's interesting and encouraging. Below is an extract from an email my broker received from the JLR Order Control Team regarding my P400e HSE :-

"We are currently experiencing delays with vehicles being released from the factory.

This vehicle is on our highest priority and we are currently liaising with the factory to resolve this and to get these released as soon as possible.

At this time, we do not have an accurate time line we can give you for its release, but we will pass on any further information when we receive this. We apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused."

Doesn't tell me a lot other than hopefully they are working on it!
Andy
