Re: Getting Private Number Plate Made

Went in to Jaguar West London and they made up my new plates and fixed them to the car all in 20 mins.
And only £17!!!
Great service and great bargain....

Re: Buying New Private Reg - which site to use

Yes, I strongly agree that RICH1 is poor taste and gringe worthy. Certainly would avoid that kind.

Re: Buying New Private Reg - which site to use

I think they are just bling and more like vulgar jewelry than art. The motoring equivalent of the gold chain, open shirt and hairy chest  Anyway, each to his or her own.... Slightly harsh but each to their own as you say. :D One could say why get a flashy FPace when you could get a lower value...

Re: Getting Private Number Plate Made

So, to clarify as I'm seeing conflicting info, you are saying that I need go assign the new number plate to my car through DVLA online first before I can get a new number plate made?? If I do that then surely I can't drive the car with current old plates on as I understand the online assignment proc...

Re: Buying New Private Reg - which site to use

I don't really understand private plates but I am prepared to be tolerant  But I bet you wished you had bought the plate 'F1' when it was only about £450k. Now selling for about £13M online. I hear the owner was offered £10M which he rejected. So apart from adding a bit more personalisation to...

Re: Buying New Private Reg - which site to use

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions.
As mentioned in my original post, the plate I had seen was not on the DVLA website and the most desirable ones don't seem to be either.
Anyway, in the end I chose one from the DVLA as I didn't want to fork out thousands for the one I really wanted!

Getting Private Number Plate Made

Hey all I have bought a private reg plate from the DVLA and received my V750 Certificate of Entitlement valid from 9th July. I went to KwikFit around the corner who make new number plates. The guy who worked there called the external supplier they use who said that the number plate is not showing up...

Buying New Private Reg - which site to use

Hey all I'm looking to buy a private number plate. I've seen one advertised on a few sites that matches my 3 initials. It's not on the DVLA website so can anyone advise which of the others are worth buying from. Never gone through this process before so want to make sure I'm buying from a good site ...
