Re: Cold engine knocking

Get a diesel, it will be smoother and quieter  Seriously though, that supercharged sounds like it would be more at home on a tractor than a £60k car...is it smoother once warmed-up? Get a diesel?! No chance. The noise is only evident on start up, it does not affect the driving experience...

Re: Cold engine knocking

Finally someone else with the same sound. I thought it was just me as I'm sure i didn't notice this in the first 6 months. I've now learnt to live with it although it does sound a tad diesel like on start up at the front. The exhausts fire up nicely and give a good V6 growl but the rapid fire knocki...

Re: Couple of Pics in the Lake District

Re: Door Damage - Advice Needed

Hey all So Revive came to fix my dent on my rear door which involved filling in the dent and repainting the whole door. The only issue is that this had left really bad swirl marks on the door where he polished it after (see pixs). I raised my concern about this and he came back to polish again but i...

Re: Door Damage - Advice Needed

Thanks for the advice.
The fact he only tried for 5 minutes doesn't fill me with the greatest confidence in his skill.
It's a one inch dent with very minor paint marks and visually not that deep.
Will pursue things with the insurer.

Cheers

Re: Door Damage - Advice Needed

So after getting the guys round through my insurance co ALA, to sort out my car dent, it can't be done through a smart repair. Apparently, it's too deep even though it doesn't look it. Needs a body shop with estimated cost of £350 - 450. I was quoted that when I investigated a couple of weeks ago. I...
