Re: Corroded brake discs

This is entirely normal dealer practice, this time they did not get away with it but very often they do, probably its more profitable when the customer pays. I do question their explanation that only if there is 30% corrosion it is a warranty issue, discs that are only 70 % efficient is surely a big...

Re: Jaguar F Pace 2019 vibration when turning

What tyres do you have, what rim size. Pirelli are notably bad I have Continental with no sign of tyres scrubbing if that is the problem. I can’t think of a reason why Eco mode would influence the problem.

Re: New Discs for a 3.0D S

I’m surprised anyone is shocked by this, it’s normal main dealer practice. A few years ago a Toyota had a recall for a rear axle seal fault and they tried to fit new discs for £600. OEM discs would have cost half that and they already had the brakes off doing the seals. Nothing wrong with the old di...

Re: New Discs for a 3.0D S

They are supposed to be cast iron not steel, CI is quite corrosion resistant so at a guess other scrap is going into the mix for casting. Tata may indeed be supplying brake discs but there is no excuse for supply poor quality components to your own company.

Re: Rejection Advice and Support

Looking at all the extras you have on the car they are just the ones that have caused everyone else problems I think your best course is warranty through Jaguar CS and keep at it. Accessories you paid for should be kept in working order for the warranty period, they are not wear and tear items it wi...

The limit for rejection is ...

Re: How many miles you getting from the tank?

A lot will depend where and how you drive, on quiet A roads at 50 to 60 mph 45 mpg is not hard to do, mix that with motorway and town driving mid 30s is more likely. Long term mixed driving I do 35 mpg in the 3.0d which is almost exactly the same as the 180d before, others with a more restrained dri...

Re: 2017 FPace CarPlay & Updates

The ICTPro system is the one part of the FPace that has caused real headaches, some cars are OK some give endless problems. The electrical system after 2017 cars was changed resulting in far less issues, if the system is currently working dealers are not going to want to try updates, it can be very ...
