Re: Greetings from Norway

I have a niece that has a Renault Zoe EV as a runabout, she wants to save the planet and hubby wants to save cash, fair enough, sounds like a marriage made in heaven , so let’s see what Renault claim in economy. Range 150 miles or so on one charge costing £6.15 @ 15p/kw Battery rental is £59 / month...

Re: Greetings from Norway

All those charging points and only one car using them, Mr Tesla must be disappointed. Seriously, the cost of living, lifestyle and government incentives are much different in Norway, not to mention population. Here the government has reduced incentives and at present the cost benefit calculation doe...

Re: Next car choice?

The size, performance, practicality and style of the FPace suits me well and if they remain as good as the car I have now then a close replacement will be very attractive, although an SVR would be tempting. If the electric technology and infrastructure improves markedly then maybe that would be a co...

ICT

Took mine for its routine service today and in the showroom there was an FPace R Sport with Standard ICT fitted.
I thought that had been dropped and everything had ICT Pro, or did they change their mind.

Re: Off road traction and best setting

The problem is the FPace has firm suspension with very little articulation which means that it’s easy for a wheel to loose traction on very uneven surfaces. The Disco or RR have much greater articulation to give better off road ability at the expense of on road handling, both vehicles have similar b...

Re: MPG

Engines, the current 4 cyl engines petrol and diesel are all JLR, there is an in-line 6 cyl promised which should be good for 400hp although I have not heard of it in any production cars yet . The current V6 and V8 are Ford built and have served well for many years across the whole JLR Range The “ N...

Re: MPG

My wife could easily get 50mpg and more out of the 2.0D when we had it, driving on quiet country roads at under 50mph driving like a pussy. Or I could drive rather more enthusiastically and get mid 30s mpg, if you have a good one the FPace is very versatile car that can be whatever you want

Re: 4x4 V all wheel drive

I’m trying to think if there are any permanent 4 wheel drive, I can think of one or two with manual diff locks front and back so all 4 could turn together. Old style Defenders were able to manually engage the front axle but you could spin a wheel front and back, pickups like the Hilux added a limite...
