Re: Oh dear nail in summer tyre in storage.

I'm wondering how often it would get used for unmounted tyres the vast majority are on a rim, maybe it can also be used on complete wheels. I'm guessing that the hiss of the leak is detected by a microphone thereby making the old water tub redundant, at least for car tyres.

Re: Oh dear nail in summer tyre in storage.

A tubeless tyre is repaired with a special patch with a stem that is pulled through the hole and fills it at the same time, with bonding compound and done correctly it is highly unlikely to leak. I've never seen them check for leakage after a repair, it is a pretty secure method. If the tyre is alre...

Re: Full size spare

Smitten: The boot well fits a reduced size spare wheel. My MY19 Portfolio has a polystyrene storage tray directly above the battery well. There is no obvious storage space for a skinny spare. There is a different polystyrene tray if you order a factory spare. Or you could modify the existing one

Re: Keyless car thefts

It's not just cars but property as well, no matter how much you spend on security thieves will get in and if you challenge them they will run you down, or fight their way out. These are not opportunist thieves they are stealing a car to order and are willing to use extreme force to do it, they know ...

Re: Full size spare

Space saver is good value as a factory fit, it includes the jack and tools, it really should standard, as a dealer fit later it's around £500 maybe more this year.

Re: Considering F-Pace S (New vs Ex Jaguar Management)

In fairness there is no reason why the depreciation of Jaguar vehicles, the FPace in particular should depreciate quicker the Land Rover brand, the fault rate is 127 for Jag and 300 for LR vehicles, even the Porsche brand has a higher fault rate. So all those pious Macan owners are being very biased...

Re: Driveline Vibration

I have a copy of JTB00609v3 which I have scanned and attached. I had to drop the resolution a bit to keep the size under the upload limit. I got it from our Dealer this morning where we had a meeting to discuss the vibration issue we have with our F-Pace. Armed with all the information about the vi...

Re: Used F Pace S

There are not too many problems with the MY 18 cars, mostly ICTP problems that may or may not have been fixed but as it is a main dealer the cars history should be available if you ask to see it. An extended test drive will show up any current problems, so the best of luck the 3.0d is a very good car

Re: Rejecting Advice

Having had a long running issue with Jaguar and their dealer who shall remain nameless I was simply amazed at the dirty tricks that were used. I didn't record calls, almost all communication was email and on record, in my case there was a finance company in the middle and they proved to be honest an...

Re: Security issues and locking the car

I've just checked my key Faraday bag and with the key in my pocket and in the bag I was able to open the car and start it. I am sure it blocked the key signal when I first had it and it probably is reducing the signal now but not enough, others have tried them in a tin box. So if anyone is worried a...
