Re: Jaguar service costs a joke

So it’s about EU competition rules not an “approved” non franchised garage, the problem in not using a franchised dealer is when a update is needed or some other electronic changes are needed. It doesn’t affect me because the 5 yr service contract was something of a steal, as with any complex machin...

Re: JLR in trouble?

There will I’m sure be tariffs on imported cars and all sorts of goods from the EU and you can expect reciprocal tariffs on exports, who wins and who looses only time will tell. I certainly wouldn’t want to be an exporter trying to sell goods into the EU. The assertion that there will be no border o...

Re: Engine warm-up time

When you put cardboard in front of the radiator I don’t think cars had heaters in those days. It’s the engine thermostat that controls the heater temperature and does not circulate through the radiator until it reaches operating temperature. Mine is slow warming up I guess there is a lot of metal to...

Re: Engine warm-up time

The F Pace has a large grill on the front. As you drive in cold temperatures this is a large amount of Cold Air being blown/forced in and around the engine. It will take time to warm up as you move along the road. The cold moving air over the engine is constantly cooling the engine outer cases. I c...

Re: JLR in trouble?

I do hope that the IPace is a success and contributes to JLR being a success into the future but Jaguar needs a lot of cash quickly and that depends on investor confidence. It has nothing to do with any comment on this forum or indeed the opinions of an idiot like Clarkson. The facts are that the ma...

Re: F-Pace & LR 3.0 lt. V6 Diesel - Oil & Filter Test Anomalies?

Hi all, Just to add, my 3l V6 was in for an oil change last week, previous service was in September. Have only done approx 4000 miles so very disappointed it needed an oil change. My father has same engine in the new disco and has had 2 oil changes and a service in just over a year. JLR have covere...

Re: JLR in trouble?

Headlong into electric is a big ask, JLR have just spent Zillions on a new engine factory at Wolverhampton, finding the cash to develop electric as well is going to be difficult, even Elon Musk is struggling now.
