Re: F Pace a bargain?

The E-pace is massively overpriced when you consider it's based on Evoque underpinnings which themselves where modified Freelander 2 parts.

The XF Sportbrake is as much of a car as the F Pace so not surprised it's similar spec for spec.

Re: Gearbox not in park

Hey musher ... worth having a go at this ... if you stop the car in D and turn off the ignition the car should automatically go into Park (you will see the indicator on the rotary selector flash P) ... might give you some indication as to whether there's a real issue or not.

Re: Steering

Sounds like tramlining to me. How many miles and what state are the tyres in. My Boxster was really susceptible to tramlining and felt exactly as you described.

Re: E Pace ON TEST

I like it. Especially the 'nardo' grey. There's some VAG touches which is to be expected since they stole a number of the team. It's a touch original Skoda Rapide around the rear quarters .... IMG_6530.JPG I think it's a brave move and should be applauded. It's also a brave man (or woman) who parts ...

I get the odd noise when I drive too. It's says things like "you're too close to that car" etc etc.

Re: Dipping wing mirror

Thanks CW that's exactly what I was saying. You cannot adjust the preset dipped position on the Jag whereas with Range Rover you set your chosen dipped position, save it, and then it always defaults to your chosen position. The work around is good though. It was in fact my other half who thought of ...

Btw thanks Catwoman and others who helped with advise on the dipping mirrors workaround using the memory setting- great solution works perfectly :)
