Re: Wifi and SIM card

I'm not being patronising but under settings, features, connectivity you will find an option to enable Data. This defaults to off and in some cars randomly returns to off. Just enable and agree to the pop up and it should work.

Re: 4 wheel alignment

Seems track rods were not changed but retorqued (presumably to tighten the taper joint). The argument of tracking after 2 years isn't unreasonable, and kerbing can potentially alter the tracking and it doesn't have to be by very much. I will get front tracking done soon just to be cautious but unles...

Re: 4 wheel alignment

Yep my thought, dealer extortion was my first reaction! Plus I just realised they had to replace track rod ends, so surely they have had to reset the tracking?

4 wheel alignment

My car is being serviced today. They have reported slight tyre feathering on the front inner tyre edges but even wear at the back. They want me to have 4 wheel alignment at £360 +vat. (a) why wouldnt simple tracking check be enough? and (b) is that a reasonable price?

Seems very high to me.

Re: Final thoughts before ordering. (wind noise, tyres)

My roof has now decided to be a pain to close... It closes then instantly reopens. Hence my comment about quality. Don't be robbed off, everything should work 100% any less is not acceptable!

Re: Final thoughts before ordering. (wind noise, tyres)

My previous car was a XF that suffered chronic noise from door mirrors. My Fpace has sliding roof and when fully open there is noise obviously but closed it's been rattle free and silent when driving at all speeds. Mine is the 180 diesel on 19inch rims so I won't compare road noise other than to say...

Re: High temp at outdoor cause contol panel fault

It's not likely to be an issue in Great Britain... If we get 30C it's for One day and make 6 hours in that day... you might get better feedback on US forum where they see similar weather in some regions.

Re: April Sales Figures JLR

Bad quality as often or not comes from bad design. Not the look and feel, the nitty gritty... If you design parts that can get fitted together poorly, then it will happen, design out issues at the start. Jaguar don't seem.to have that mentality.
