Re: It’s been an experience

Yes petrol is an interesting switch and like an ex smoker feel morally superior 😀 Lovely sound that I’m still not bored of 2 years on. I had a loaner XE couple of times in early days and found bud them a bit small (though you have the Volvo as well) and kept hitting my head on door frame (same as F-...

Re: Cold engine knocking

Sure I posted same thing a while back. Can’t find video or my post.
Same rattle on start, showed a tech who said they all do that including the FTypes as same engine.
Not caused me any issues 20k miles on so haven’t worried too much.
Let us know how you get on.

Re: Keyless car thefts

Yes get the bags and keep the useful feature. I thankfully bought two Faraday bags off amazon for about £8 each. I have the CCTV to prove how effective they are when two guys try to steal it with a key range extender. After this episode I did turn the keyless feature off for a short period as descri...

Re: What exactly changes in Sport and Dynamic modes?

Configurable dynamics disapointly does less than you think. So you have normal and dynamic. To “configure” you can turn on or off the steering, engine or suspension. So you can have dynamic with suspension off (in normal mode) . Sort of handy at times if perhaps you want firmer suspension but normal...

Re: European driving queries

Yes echo others. Lights don’t worry, Breakdown is covered, Nav is pretty good but double check it as every so often it takes a route that’s a large increase in mileage or a very odd route. I had a 200 mile journey that was about 250 on the nav and sounded wrong so checked on google maps on phone to ...

Re: IGL Kenzo Ceramic Coating

Heard of it before and meant to be good.
The cost is very good if he spends 4 days on it. I paid double that for a few days correction and getting ready then the coating,
Coating only takes a ha,f day - day depending what they do.

Re: Suspension

Yes didn’t do anything. Tyres look even. Right front outside is maybe marginally lower but not overly obvious, front left looks perfectly even

Wonder if anyone else was brave enough to change and has any comments ?

Re: Suspension

Hi Blu, Well they said it may settle initially but the settings are 15-30mm from memory so it was set at that and looks the same now. After initial period I wouldn’t say I’ve noticed any changes. It has reduced the Ackerman effect (crabbing noise in cold on lock) but not 100% and tyre wear looks eve...

Re: Suspension

Re suspension, interesting to note that KW have confirmed compatibility of their spring lowering kit for all fpace variants - not just the adaptive damper type. These progressive type springs could help with noise and ride as theyre not normally set up to be firm for the initial load, but become fi...

Re: Worth buying new V6 Petrol?

Actually just checked prices and can see a fair few up to 2 years + with 12-20 k miles and lesser specs that mine for 45-46K
Given base S spec was 51K and even upgrading a lot was 60 so if you are getting 40+ 2 years later they are holding up well.

Very surprised at that. Was expecting less.
