Re: So Close

Thanks, I plan to do quite a bit of driving over the weekend. Although there is nowhere I want to go to, that won't have crowds, not helped with me adding to them. So probably just a few journeys, there and back, on different roads, to help with the running in. As a further sign that restrictions ar...

Re: So Close

The dealer called today to confirm they are opening next week, and I've agreed to collect on Friday 5th which gives me the weekend, before heading up to TTW in Nottingham on Monday. I'll post an update on the hand-over procedure once done.

Re: 22" summer tyres in winter

When I had my Saab Turbo X (Haldex XWD) on summer tyres, I found it easy to get going on snow, with careful steering and braking also good even in heavy snow, but turning or stopping quickly was terrible. A test sharpish turn into a wide road (nothing close to hit) with heavy snow, at approx. 15-20m...

Re: JLR Shut Down

I can find nothing on Jaguar UK, but a PA article on MSN https://www.msn.com/en-gb/cars/news/man ... r-BB12nmkj lists several manufactures and their allowances, with Jaguar being 2 months / 2000 miles.

Re: Where were you..........?

I was at home with the wife, wondering whether the new millennium really would herald a new golden age, or the same problems as previous - No surprise it was the latter. We had considered going somewhere, but my company at the time (Microsoft) decided we should 'own the problem' and approx. Easter t...

Re: So Close

Thanks for the comments, it will be all the sweeter when I get to drive her. And really it's not a difficult decision, especially as the wife is a microbiologist who knows the risks, and a teacher who has been very much in demand explaining to kids the differences between a bacteria and a virus, and...

So Close

I was due to collect my new F-Pace Thursday, which was then brought forward to today, with all looking good yesterday, Then I got the call this morning to say that due to the Corona virus lock-down they were closed :( except their service department for key workers. After last night's announcement I...

Hi, changing from XF to F-Pace next week

Hi all, After 3 good years with my XF (2.0D-180 Portfolio), I take delivery of my F-Pace 3.0D S next week :D Aside from a leaking washer bottle, there have been no issues with the XF, and it's been great for the motorway each day, but the 2.0D was too hesitant to pick-up at slow speeds, which Sport ...
