Re: F Pace Review

I agree with Smitten, my 3ltr Diesel has great performance, ride & handling & never an issue with the exhaust; I love the beefier sound in Dynamic Mode too. I'm also getting 42mpg on a run! What's not to like. 8-) Same, while the SC version sounds great reving from behind I have heard stories about...

Re: Aftermarket brake pads and discs

Sorry haven't been looking at the post recently but Yes meandraft, after a couple hundred miles the pads look as if they are wearing on the disks to the full width as expected, heres a couple close ups attached and you can see a small anti corrosion grey painted edge of around 1mm at the top and bot...

Re: Rear Brake Pad Wear

I would say so but all depends on the driving style of the previous owner or you,🤔did you buy from JLR delear as they would have done a multipoint check including brake pads and should of changed if they were low, or you could have developed sticky or stuck callipers in your time of ownership, the b...

Re: Aftermarket brake pads and discs

Hopefully not I did use copper grease in the appropriate places and the pads also had a rubber backing where the callipers touch so we shall see in 6 months or earlier,

Re: Aftermarket brake pads and discs

Update on my progress Finally finished, took my time as was in no rush but some elements of the job was a bit time consuming, after I had all the right tools started with the rears, as I said in my previous post the EPB hack I found on another forum didn’t work for me so released the EPB and then re...

Also with regard to parts I found these guys AUTODOC in Germany, they had the best pricing and took only 9 days from clicking buy via the app to arriving on my door step, prices in euros so watch the exchange rates before you buy, I have. 350mm front and 325mm rear disks, went for Zimmerman discs an...

Re: Aftermarket brake pads and discs

Ok, started to do the rears today, got as far as jacking up the car, secured with stands and chocked front wheels, attempted the parking brake hack with the ignition and door open but every time I shut the ignition off with door open the EPB would engage so went with disconnecting the Batt Neg wire ...

Re: Aftermarket brake pads and discs

I found these instructions on another site a while back so will try this before attempting the rears, With ignition on (not started), release the parking brake and shut the ignition off. DO NOT SHUT THE CAR DOOR...or the brake will set. I left my driver's door open the entire time. Other way to do i...

Digital Service History

Hi Fpacers, I had an annual service done on my 3 year old FPace end of Feb this year by an indie who I have used many times before on other cars I have owned and haven’t had a problem over the 10 years That I’ve used them, they are not Jag specialists, before the service I asked if they would be abl...
