Re: New Service Plan

It would be cheaper to pay for 3 services, remember you don't have to use a main dealer!

Re: FPACE 3 LTR Diesel 2017 plate How many miles to the gallon?

My MY18 3.0D S has averaged 36-38 over the last year. A mix of fast motorway/ dual carriageway driving and at the speed limit on other roads. I use Dynamic on country roads and normal mode for the rest, I seldom use the brakes to slow down.

Happened to me this week using the newer version of the Android app, I cured the problem by uninstalling and re installing the app.

Re: New Tire

Yes it's normal for certain makes of cars to have 'approved' tyres . My 911 was the same and having just replaced a P Zero on my F Pace I can confirm that you need to choose the JLR approved spec. You can ignore it if you like but your insurance company probably won't pay out if you have an accident.

Re: Dashcam Installation

I fitted a Blackvue 900s front camera this week using a Conecta lead accessory to the OBD socket. A very simple job that took less than 30 mins, the wires are all tucked away out of sight and the Conecta plug has a ‘Parking mode’ on/off switch that cuts the power if your battery voltage drops too lo...

Re: Remove wing mirror glass?

Personally I find it easier to drive down a narrow road when an Amazon delivery driver is coming the other way on his mobile phone. The subsequent impact of his mirror hitting yours will neatly fold it to the parked position(albeit with a loud bang) and you'll be left with the glass dangling by its ...

Re: Data Only Sim

I use a 3 data Sim, it didn't work the first time I inserted it but closer inspection revealed that although appearing to have clicked into place, it hadn't! Re insertion and pushing it into the slot with a stylus until there was a positive click cured the problem. I've had no problems since and wou...

Re: 'Road Hero' Space Saver Wheel

Ah thanks, I can see what the felt does now( my picnic rug has the same effect), interestingly the bolt and clamp from the dealer didn't have any felt stuck on top. God knows what the big polystyrene frisbee is for then, although I suspect it's meant to go underneath the wheel somewhere.
