Re: System update yesterday 12th May

My SVR had also had the same software updated - it also shows the "uncertain times screen" but this might be after the SVR screen - will have to check

Re: My new F-Pace SVR

Looks great - Silver suits the F-Pace well. Did you buy the car used?

Re: Re: Service algorithm

I had an email from Jaguar today suggesting you run the engine for 15 minutes a week (30 minutes the first week) to keep the car functioning well - seems sensible to me - or just take a slightly longer route to your local supermarket...

Re: Service algorithm

The algorithm is very basic at best. I believe it is based on time and it uses past average monthly mileage to indicate when a service is due. For example if you do 1,000 miles a month, then one month before the 12 month anniversary of when the car was new it will say "service due in 1,000 miles". L...

Re: So Close

In the UK car showrooms are shut (car hand overs are deemed non-essential) but “garages” are allowed to stay open for essential maintenance. But I think many garages have also shut. I had an email from Jaguar to say my service due on 8 April has been cancelled as the garage is shut. Better to be saf...

The noise was much more obvious with the window open but I could hear it with the windows closed after I knew what I was listening out for

Re: click noise when slow and turning the wheel

From memory there was a topic regarding the SVR clicking but the dealer still insisted on hearing it for themselves before authorising a repair (which was a pain because the click was intermittent)

Re: Panoramic Roof. Is this a Feature??

The cycling between locking and unlocking occurs because the car is designed to re-lock itself if no door is opened after 30 seconds or so of unlocking.
You can stop the cycling by opening and closing the door. But you then need to remember to lock the car when you have finished washing!
