Re: SVR with noisy brakes

Previous car was an XFR and brakes were completely noise free on that - the car has done 8k miles now and discs look fine. Maybe it’s a brake design issue hence interested to know if other SVR owners have noticed the same.

SVR with noisy brakes

I notice that my SVR brakes are noisy at low speed - not only is there some slight brake squeal (not much but I can hear it) when coming to a stop at low speed, but there is sometimes a groaning noise, particularly when the steering is on full lock eg. when going back and forth in a car park. I did ...

Re: Svr first race

Not seen any actual road test figures but I think the claimed time is 0-60 in 5.8 and 0-62 (I.e 0-100 kph) in 6.2
The extra 2mph can often take longer than you think especially if there is a gear change involved.
Same for the SVR - the 0-60 is 4.1 and 0-62 is 4.3

Re: 22" powder coat mismatch

Which is the correct colour - lighter or darker?
That will definitely need sorting - annoying but not the end of the world.
Lovely wheels, so well worth keeping them looking tip top

Re: Bilt Hamber Autofoam

I also use Bilt Hamber auto foam and find it excellent. I tried it after watching a YouTube test of lots of different foams and this was noticeably better at cleaning than others. I very rarely need to do a contact wash anymore.

Re: Caught a wall

Bad luck with the wheel but it could have been worse - and we’ve all been there. Once the wheel is sorted you will soon forget all about it. It’s almost inevitable that something will happen to a “new” car and I’m always happy if I can get a few months incident free motoring before the car is “chris...

Re: Accident Repairs

I recently needed a minor scuff sorting - also on front bumper - and asked my JLR dealer who they use. I then went to visit them to get a feel for the place. This gave me confidence they would do a good job e.g. they said they would need the car overnight to do a first class job to let the paint ful...

Re: Too many extras?!

"Configurable ambient lighting" I spent £210 on this option - used it once to select the only colour I like (blue) - found out that selecting dynamic mode changes the colour to red regardless - and then wondered what else I could buy with £210. Do others regularly change the colour? Maybe I need to ...

Re: Too many extras?!

Yep - I do get why some want the opening roof - I love a proper convertible and fully understand the compromises we all make. Perhaps it’s time for me to get a nice F-type convertible to go alongside the F-Pace....but then I’d want a bigger garage to keep it in....and then the wife will want a new k...

Re: Too many extras?!

Options are such a personal thing only you can decide what is worthwhile. FWIW from your list I would not bother with HUD (not sophisticated enough), driver assist pack (a novelty for 5 mins), configurable ambient lighting (another novelty) or the garage door opener (even my suggested this is not re...
