Re: Driveline Vibration

Stratstone, haha. Have spoken to two of their dealerships ref an FP 3.0d, and one could not be bothered to call me back ref a £45k car, the other, ooop North, disputed when questioned, the car they had on the approved Jag site was not a 3.0S but a Portfolio, and their ad was misrepresentation. Next ...

Re: Complaints regarding Jaguar Assist

AS someone poised to spend a substantial sum on an FP, this level of backup and assistance rings as a concern and seems a far cry from the level of service received when I blew a piston on a Cooper S with the full Mini warranty. From arrival of diagnostic technician to hand back of immaculately vale...

Re: Caesium blue ex-management cars

Doesn't bode well. Luckily I've a friend who runs a garage and knows his stuff to give it the once over.

Re: Caesium blue ex-management cars

Thanks for that Hydrajaws. I was aware of the management, staff and friends schemes as we've friends who work for JLR and I'm an old employee from Ford's period of ownership.

Didnt realise the day rental cars were also in the same registration grouping.

Re: Caesium blue ex-management cars

There's not as many zero mileage 18-plate cars appearing for sale as I may have expected 3 weeks before the WLTP deadline. I pass a local dealer's compound often and didn't spot an FP, just a few Land Rovers plus loads of smaller cars their other franchises sell. It could be dealers are preparing to...

Caesium blue ex-management cars

Still trying to source a nearly used FP in Caesium blue (240/V6 but not first edition) and liaising with a couple of dealers in the hope of the right spec. One dealer tells me that Jaguar has stopped putting Caesium Blue FP's 'into the system' as they were too many of them. By this my interpretation...

Re: Alternative to Rejection - customer service

Thanks for the summary. Before settling on an F Pace, I visited the Volvo dealership interested in an high spec XC40. Salesman told me then enough cars had been sold to cover production until end of 2018 (it's now March/April), and didnt offer test drive, show me anything about car or whether I'd se...

Re: Alternative to Rejection - customer service

Very interesting story, and we all know dealer customer service varies. This is a great gesture. Sturgess is marginally more local to me than Guy Salmon in Coventry. I've been to see both about an E or F pace, driven both and settled on the F as some come with the sliding pan roof which is my prefer...

Re: Should I buy a 1st edition?

Thanks for those suggestions, Smitten. Not in a rush to buy, right colour/right spec will come along sooner or later. My local dealer reckons they've some V6 diesels arriving September.

Re: Should I buy a 1st edition?

Like you I quite fancy a 3.0 diesel but while the Caesium Blue looks fantastic with chrome or black, the cream seats area no for me. Partner and I wear denim a lot, work takes me to dirty/dusty places, and I've seen cream seats in a Mini convertible where the dye has leeched into the seats and left ...
