Re: Questions for a car valeting company

Emily Connor,

If you want to provide the name of the valeter I can let you know if they have a good reputation or not. I recently did quite an extensive search for Valeters and Detailers in the North of Scotland.

Re: Map update now available for the standard “Touch” display SD Card

I don’t see much updates scrolling through the maps in the car. The new Mersey Gateway Bridge is there, but the motorways over the River Forth are still using the old bridge as the M90 and not the Queensway Crossing. Various motorway updates are still missing. So I would not recommend spending £97....

Re: Sales figures - September + Solihull shutdown Oct

It will be interesting to see what difference the opening of the Slovakian plant in September makes to numbers employed in UK. I can see a lot of JLR manufacturing going to lower cost based countries and environments!

Re: Model Year...

Well it works for MY19 which most certainly begins with a "K". This is interesting, as until now, I believed that VIN's were unique to manufacturers. Someone, somewhere got something right!!!

Re: Just landed MY19

Hi All Just got my new vehicle... bog standard r-sport, Had it 24 hours and all seems well. I am presuming I don't have power fold mirrors and that it must be an option, so, sorry I didn't get that feature. Happy with all the other feature though. You say "bog standard r-sport", is that petrol R-Sp...

Re: Vip tour tomorrow on my first Jag.

If it helps you at all, I have used Continental Winter Contact TS850's for the last 4 years. I used them on the Range Rover and they were superb. The grip was excellent and the wear rate quite low. I recently sold my winter RRS wheels still shod with the Conti's and after 4 season's use they still h...

Re: Vip tour tomorrow on my first Jag.

Reg, I wouldn't ponder too much longer. They will increase in price by +/-£50 each between now and December!!! As for when to fit them, I usually wait until we have 5 consecutive days where the temperature is below 7C (the temperature at which Summer tyres loose their effectiveness and Winter tyres ...

Re: Copy music from USB Stick

It seems to me, after reading the MY19 Owners Manual, that you can only copy music to the HDD from a CD. The Manual States the following: "When a CD is loaded, the ripping media option is available. Select the CD ripping icon to store to the vehicle internal memory. Notification is displayed when ri...

Re: Stradstone deny reverse sensors fault despite video evidence

The above advice is valid, although potentially extreme. Have you tried taking it elsewhere - to another Jag dealer? You can take your car to any Authorised dealer/repairer. You may get a more sympathetic ear elsewhere.

Re: Complaints regarding Jaguar Assist

Reading stories like those above, remove my disappointment at having no Jaguar Assist per se in the North of Scotland. We get assistance from AA, or Green Flag or even local recovery companies. If your problem is anything more than a puncture or flat battery, you know the vehicle is going to get loa...
