Re: Tyre law
For what its worth, my wife's car failed an MOT Test for having tyres that were more than 10 years old. We looked at them on the car and thought this was rubbish, however when we took the car to another garage the guy there put the car on the lift and we saw that the rubber looked perished. We chang...

Re: Map Woes....
If I were you, I would try reformatting the thumb drive before you download maps on to it. I know this shouldn't need doing on a new thumb drive, but it is something I would recommend you try, particularly if using a Mac!

Re: DO NOT UPDATE MAPS ; you loose your current maps !!
Yes Keith, you are correct. I use a Sandisk Atom 64GB thumb drive. Have used it for over 2 years now, even when the recommendation was to use 32GB only! However, I do not delete the old file before downloading the new one per se. I always reformat the thumb drive (to FAT32), this ensures there are n...

Totally agree with you LeithL. You need to know both sides of the story to form a balanced opinion.

Re: Am I being left behind 19C but no 20B
I certainly haven't, and not too sure I would get it even if offered. This is ECU reprogramming (I assume). What happens if it goes wrong? Call the AA to fix? I don't think so! I would certainly want more information as to what benefit I was supposed to get from such a download. Good idea in theory,...
