Re: TPMS need to be changed with new tyres?

TPMS valves should not need changing every time you change tyres. They have their own batteries in them and these generally last 5 or 6 years from new. It is a relatively simple job to remove the TPMS valves and either renew the batteries or replace them altogether. You are wise to use a local garag...

Re: Recent map update didn't upload

I haven't had this problem, but I always reformat my thumb drive to delete all previous software and then reformat before downloading the map. Dead easy and takes no more than a minute. Ensures that when your thumb drive is inserted in the car the only data there for it to read is the map update.

Re: New Service Plan

I agree with you Black300Sport, I would be looking for an independent to do my servicing. I am sure you can find one that will do it for less than £640 per service. In fact my dealer is advertising fixed price services at £630 per service, so cheaper than buying up front!

Re: New Service Plan

What are they asking for a 300PS Petrol service Plan? It doesn’t recognise my reg online. It recognised my registration for the i4 300PS petrol engine and the price it came up with was £1923.25 for 3 years worth of services, (option to pay monthly was offered and worked out at the same cost). I am ...

Re: Wheels & Tyres or just tyres for winter ?

It depends on how much you care about the appearance of your wheels really. For sure a Kwikfit Fitter can destroy a good set of alloys in a heartbeat. No rims like have tyres removed and another set of tyres put on them every 6 months. Your wheels will end up scratched at best and distorted at worst...

Re: Svr first race

I think most people know what you meant mate so no hard feelings from me. 👍 The older generation might be sensitive to the word 'race' but it was anything but and a shame they didn't see that. Anyway, happy SVR motoring. Any pics to share? It's not just the older generation that may be upset by the...

Re: SVR - 1 month of ownership

I agree with much of what you say. The paint quality of JLR vehicles is very poor. I am on my 3rd JLR vehicle since 2013 (all purchased new) and have not had one that didn't have to have extensive paint correction. The paint they use is very soft. I had many stone chips on the front bumper of my las...

Only on some vehicles. This upgrade is supposed to bring it to all MY19 and MY20 vehicles.

Re: Paint protection film applied

Can you get the shiny Piano Black plastic on the dashboard and central console done as well? That scratches as soon as you look at it!!!
