Re: Apple Carplay

It is the same with all F Paces regardless of the M/Y, unless they have an HDMI port and SIM connectivity nothing can be done. My dealer has been incredibly helpful and was almost as disappointed as me! He took the matter up with JLR and they have no plans to provide a solution.

Re: Dealing with scratches on interior plastic

Even if toothpaste removes the scratch you will be left with a smoother shinier finish, which could look a whole lot worse!

Re: Front damage

You can replace the entire front bumper cover (that's all it is just a plastic profile) for around £550 brand new the mesh aperture approximately £90.
Painting £600 and fitting easy around 2 hours labour.
Parts on eBay around 60 - 70% less!

Re: Car Parked Up For Over 5 Weeks.........

I parked mine for 12 months and it still started first time. All this nonsense about trickle chargers, battery conditioners a total waste of money. I gave up using those when I sold my 1959 MGA!

Re: ICTP Patch 4.0

Unfortunately cars with ICT Pro but without SIM connectivity and an HDMI port are not capable of being upgraded to accept Carplay. Its a shame and according to my dealer Jaguar have no plans to find a work around! :(

Re: ICTP Patch 4.0

I am totally happy with the S18C software, the ICT is totally stable with all functions operating perfectly. So I am minded to leave well alone! Its just a shame that mine cannot have Apple Car Play.

Re: ICTP Patch 4.0

My ICT Pro has been updated to S18C_18.37.1-222737, on 3rd December 2018 and as mine does not have SIM connectivity nor an HDMI port. So mine has the latest for my ICT Pro version. I am aware that there is an S18D update but it is only for certain versions.

Re: ICTP Patch 4.0

Latest reply to my enquiry:

Thanks for the acknowledgement.

I can confirm that JLR are not looking at providing a retrofit solution any time soon. Sadly!

Re: ICTP Patch 4.0

I passed the info to my dealer and here is the response: is a dodgy operation. To be very honest, we had thought about something along these lines and did run it by JLR Engineering, but since vehicle wiring looms are built-up according to car build/equipment spec it would entail having to retrospect...
