Re: Spotify

Yes, you can stream Spotify via Bluetooth. The incontrol app won’t work but you can move tracks using the steering wheel and music interface. It’s not great though as you have to use the phone app to select tracks, playlists etc which is distracting. If you have Apple Watch that’s a bit better as yo...

Re: Front damage

Hi Milesg, where are you based? I’m in Manchester and had some work done by Williams they were branded BMW but were JLR approved. It wasn’t cheap though and went through the insurance.

Re: JLR in trouble?

Electric is the way to go, if they really embrace it and push it into some smaller models then it could be a great move. The e-pace seems popular, an electric version priced well would sell in droves. As long as the technology works...

Re: iPace - anyone seen in the flesh on the road?

I saw a one in the office car park the other day on an OY plate so I thought it might be a demonstrator. Got to say, its a lovely looking car.

Re: Service Plans - Stopped

I think the issue is the narrow product range - diesel suv’s and a couple of old fashioned saloons that no one buys any more. Poor reliability and crazy pricing doesn’t help. Once the aspirational and trendy types move from RR’s onto something else that’s a big problem.

Re: Next car choice?

Same vehicle as you at same price point. Quality is superb. No issues whatsoever. Drives extremely well. Nine months ownership and 1 dealer visit for software update with loan car provided. Love my car. Had an Alpha GTV years back and it had good build quality but I wouldn't put it in Porche class....

Re: Brake wear

I’ve done 37,600 miles and am still on original discs and pads. Mostly motorway, fast A road driving so I can see how that doesn’t give much wear. To be on new discs or pads after 7,000 miles there must be a technical issue or it’s had a hard first year and the original owner had lead boots.

Re: General Comment On ICTP System & Service Departments

Totally agree with Smitten’s comments. I’ve got so hacked off with ICTP I now use my iPhone and google maps with a 5 quid phone holder from amazon attached to the centre vents. It’s faultless, starts up instantly and suggests sensible diversions around traffic. Pretty poor on a 50 grand car though. ...
