Re: Traffic info

LF, I regret to say that if you have the basic ICT then the Sim adds nothing to the provision of traffic data, which comes via RDS; all it does is to provide a mobile data wifi hotspot in the car. Thanks, that confirms my suspicions! We have a couple of contracts with EE in my family and the very n...

Re: Traffic info

Quick update - had a long motorway drive last weekend, the first one since having the data SIM installed. It's didn't appear to make any difference what-so-ever. So still none the wiser about what having the SIM plugged in adds for the standard ICT set-up in terms of navigation? Anyone know for defi...

Re: Traffic info

So, I got hold of a data SIM card to try. It installed ok. I have both a 4G and WIFI symbol. I really want to have 'real time traffic flow' available (I love that function on googlemaps). I am on standard ICT, not ICTPro and can't see anything about real time traffic flow. Is it that this is therefo...

Re: Spotify

As far as i can work out, if you are connecting over bluetooth only, all you can do is pause and skip songs via either the screen or the steering wheel. To be able to pick playlists, songs, artists etc you need to be connected via USB and using the InControl App. I don;t think there is any way that ...

Re: SIM cards

I'm really sorry to post a v basic question but I'd love to get some help with what exactly you get from having a SIM in the slot in the arm rest? I'm not interested in the in car wifi, the kids would eat the data in no time and I'd rather they used their own data allowances. I'm on ICT rather than ...

Very slow puncture?

Hi all, would love to pick you brains on something. My right rear tyre had a small loss of pressure just before Christmas (down from 34 to 31 PSI). When I checked, the other tyres had dropped by 1 PSI at most. I topped all 4 back up to 34 PSI, the warning light went out and thought nothing more of i...

Re: Windscreen

My windscreen broke as I was driving up to Silverstone for the F1 on Friday 6th July.

My Autoglass job summary confirms that the replacement was fitted on Wednesday 25th July.

Keep chasing them!

Re: Washer Fluid Level Alert (Jag remote app only)

I am missing out on that particular source of issues, due to only having the basic ICT set-up.

Re: Windscreen

I had my windscreen replaced in July by Autoglass. Took a couple of hours and we then went out on a drive to do the calibration. He used a plug in laptop thing and said everything would work but I noticed that the speed sign recognition wasn't updating. We drove round a bit more and still no joy, mu...
