Re: Tyres

I have just changed my Continentals after 32000mls (with still a bit left). I went for Michelins SUV al weather tyres from Black Circles at £125 a pop.
The Michelins are quieter and performance in wet appears very good.

Re: remote essentials to remote premium

Didn't realise there were different levels of "Remote". When I bought my car 2 years ago I was told that there was remote start available as standard through Jaguar App download. After I received the car I downloaded he App which gives remote start, car location, fuel level and recent journey info e...

Re: Blown turbo

Yes that is a great result. My wife's BMW X1 blew a turbo after only 30,000mls just outside warranty and we had to pay £1200!

Re: Tyre Wear

My Michelins are "CrossClimate SUV" type which must have a different tread pattern to your Alpine 2s as road noise is definitely quieter. Also I checked on the Black Circles website before I bought and they spec out at 3db quieter than the Continentals.

Re: Car misting up in cold(ish) conditions

Hi HML, I live in Scotland and regularly take the Fpace in the mountains/skiing without any internal misting problems. I have had it down to -8deg without a hint of internal freezing/misting on any window. I leave my heating control on "Auto" with the A/C switched on all the time and I only have to ...

Re: Tyre Wear

Wow HML that's one heck of lot of miles on a 4x4 even accepting motorway driving. I guess its proof that the suspension/tracking design and manufacture on the Fpace is pretty much perfect. Wear on the outside of the Tyres is completely normal. I'm quite impressed with these Michelins as they are muc...

Tyre Wear

Just replaced all 4 Tyres after over 30,000 mls of mixed driving ie country roads, motorways and winter driving = very impressed. I thought I would be lucky to get to 20,000 mls. Continental all weather tyres were fitted as new and they were only just down to the wear indicators with no sign of unev...

Re: Engine warm-up time

Hi balders, My F-Pace can take up to 15mins to reach operating temperature so guess the 2.0L D's are slow burners. That said I leave the heating on Auto all the time and have never experienced any discomfort regardless of outside temperature. You can set the Fan speed to high/med/low even on Auto so...
