Re: First Impressions

With apologies to smitten :) I am going to add a caveat of “some/most” in relation to the comment above. As per the vid posted previously - our 2017 3.0d definitely started in 1st when in D as the speed at the change-up point absolutely correlates with the gearing of 1st. I’ve never driven another ...

Re: Wattcat App

Been using that one for quite a while now. Works well. Doesn't hang or log you out and has additional information such as DPF status if you have a diesel. Big improvement.

Re: Interior lighting

If you have configurable ambient lighting option which was £150 from memory, they light up in the colour chosen from the palette.

Re: First Impressions

Another 70 mile drive today, definitely an improvement on yesterday. I reduced the tyre pressures from 38/39 to 33PSI, so the ride is a bit kinder. The tyre noise was less noticeable, as I'm starting to get accustomed to it. The 3.0D does sound a bit more dieselly than my previous XJ and XFs, but o...

Re: Underbody Rust

Thanks Craig did you manage to resolve it? This is the state of the discs and pads which was Jaguar approved and apparently not an advisory on the MOT? Interesting. Step daughter has 2020 Evoque and the exposed parts of the disks not covered by pads (the edge as shown in Siliconsilvers image for ex...

Re: New car on order

Yes I started tinkering with the configurator as well and you are right, what I was interested in was £7k to £10k more expensive with options similar to my current vehicle. I am keeping mine until 2022 and then we will see what more EV variety there is on the market.

Re: Roof blind

If you unlock the car and then open the door and close it, the car will stop the locking and unlocking. This will probably work for the blind as well.

Re: Using Axle Stands - Help

I suspect the engine undershield will need to be removed to access the front ones.

Re: SVR servicing

I suspect all they do is plug it into the diagnostics and see if there are any fault codes and change the oil and air filter. The invoice probably takes nearly as long...
