Re: Security issues and locking the car

Hello all, Just got in to find the parcel of 2 faraday bags as recommended by auto express as their winners, tried with key in, and hey presto they work, and Halfords have contacted to say my milenco bar is in, (however wrong colour, YELLOW....🙈) so, they’ve ordered metallic grey to match the car......

Re: Security issues and locking the car

Hi I had this problem with the Halfords bag on my XE. I duly demanded a refund saying the bag didn’t work. However I then noticed the bag has 2 pockets, one unlined at the front and one lined with a gold coloured material at the back. The key must go into the lined pocket not the more obvious one at...

Re: Security issues and locking the car

I think the key detail (forgive the pun) is that the vehicle remains locked when both keys are out of range. Somehow a signal is getting to the car when the keys are in range Don’t give up your day job Smitten 🤣 True to keep the keys out of range, difficult tonight away from home, but when I’m back...

Re: Security issues and locking the car

Morning All, I’ve wrapped it in foil, put it in the faraday bag, and, put it in the tin, and it still opened when I had the tin in my hand. I’ve ordered the winner of the faraday bags in Auto Express x 2 so I’ll try them when they turn up, and on my way today I’m calling in my local Halfords for a M...

Re: Security issues and locking the car

If the car opens with no signal from the key and there is keyless entry there is something very wrong. Does it start as well with the key still shielded? Are you sure the Faraday shield isn't breached? Is the car locking? Hiya Smitten It’s keyless, and if I’ve got the key in my hand, but in the far...

Security issues and locking the car

Hello All, I’ve added to a note on here, I noticed my ITC has been upgraded recently and asked if anyone had noticed? No feedback yet, however it’s brought to light a security issue for me. Since this upgrade I find that even with the key in a Farraday bag and inside a tin (metal of course) when I p...
