Yes, as #5 said, very sad to see this happen to you redonebe, hope you're all okay and it gets sorted . . . but the difference in the scale of damage between the old and the new is, frankly, quite astonishing!
It's such a shame that people often don't allow enough space between themselves and the car in front to avoid stuff like this . . and in dry, clear, good visibility conditions, it just shouldn't happen
Sorry to hear of your accident but its great to see the rear of the Fpace with little damage compared to the person behind, next time perhaps they will judge the distances better.
No personal injuries only a little shaken. I had to brake very hard while going at 120 km/h because everybody in front of me was braking and the FP stopped perfectly. I think the guy who hit me was distracted, he was not that close to me.
When i stepped out of the car and saw the other car i was afraid for the damage to the FP. I was really surprised when i discovered the result. Gives me a bit more confidence in the car. Within a few weeks it will be repaired and as good as new.
The only inconvenience was one of the sensors was loose and gave an alarm constantly. With a piece of duct tape this was solved in a minute .
I'd almost say how is that possible. Barely a mark but I can see the rear bumper has been dislodged a bit so new bit needed there more than likely but that's a fantastic result if ever it can be described as that. Good to see and everyone is ok so that's great also.
If you also look the XJ, F-Type, the E-Pace, are also not tested.
Considering that JLR get all their Range Rover's tested, and they nominate what cars they want testings, it's probably comes down to cost vs PR = Car Sales.
I doubt very much that Jag are "hiding" anything, it's a commercial decision.
I keep seeing Jaguar advertising the XF as 5 star yet as far as I can tell that's the old model.... a bit odd. But having bought my car I'm not sure I want the FPacee tested now... it could kill second hand values if it goes pear shaped!
It's very good news for the F-Pace, 93% adult occupant safety, very compelling results, good video footage, even though it always hurts to watch them being trashed like that
About time only 18 months late yet others in the same batch of tests have not even released the cars yet, wonder if they tested a original car or a new one and if changes were made from the original cars to what the new car is today. Now start the conspiracy theories.
^ . . it's all in the detail, look at the captions and you'll see it's labelled perfectly correctly . . both FP & velar in those clips . . no conspiracy!
Not sure that one looks that great. Back and side look pretty mangled. Wouldn't want my kids to be in back after that damage.
Looks pretty hard impact though so maybe it's fared well.

It's interesting that the slight difference in shape/composition of the front bumper section seems to give the FP a 6% higher safety rating for pedestrian impacts than the Velar; 80% for the FP as opposed to 74% for the Velar . . . in all other respects they score exactly the same figures

Which highlights that many of the NCAP star requirements are not necessarily the most sensible (from my perspective) - the Punto hasn't deteriorated ridiculously in terms of crash survivebility (is that a word?) since 2005, but it does not have features like automatic emergency braking. So long as you are able to stomp on a brake pedal, this feature adds nothing for me.....
My company provides some of the equipment that Volvo uses for analysis crash sensor data. Following Lex Kerssemakers (Volvo NA CEO) statement that no-one will die in a Volvo car from the year 2020 they've been spending insane amounts of money improving safety, particularly with regard to autonomous driving technology. Seems to show it's paying off.
